Ans. Saurashtra University, Rajkot has started a Children's Day Care Centre on the university campus behind the Central Library Building. The centre currently runs from a small building with two rooms. Nearly ten children attend it on average. Visiting teaching faculty, visitors, teaching and non-teaching staff living on campus, research students and scholars, and participants in Refresher-Oriented courses, seminars, workshops and conferences use this centre. Children from 3 months to 6 years of age are admitted. The centre has entertaining and educational toys and games, along with a playground. Facilities include see-saws, Zolas, sliding strips, bicycles, tricycles and many other play items. Modern audio-visual tools such as T V and D V D player are also used for the children.
