Bhakta Kavi Narsinh Mehta University is a State university located in Junagadh which was established by the Government of Gujarat in 2015. It is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with AIU and is accredited with a B- grade by NAAC. The authority of the University comprises Junagadh, Porbandar, Gir Somnath and Dwarka DistridistrictsU offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of commerce, science and arts. The college also introduced a PhD and MPhil program recently in commerce management. Admissions to all courses at BKNMU are conducted on a merit basis, however, admission to doctoral courses is based on UGC- NET scores.
