APSU Important Dates

PhD counselling for the 2026 admission cycle is underway. APSU is expected to begin its next UG and PG admission cycle through MP Online in June 2027.

Different programme groups use separate entrance examinations and selection methods. The accepted tests and admission basis are listed below.

APSU Courses and Fees

APSU provides more than 80 programmes at the undergraduate, postgraduate, Diploma, Certificate, and doctoral levels. The following table gives the duration, entry requirements, and complete course fees for its major programmes.

Certificate and Diploma courses are also available in Cyber Security, Yoga, Museology, Tourism, Hardware Networking, and Rural Development. Their fees range from INR 2,000 to INR 33,734.

APSU Admission Process

Admission routes at APSU depend on the selected programme. MP Online handles undergraduate admissions, while the university conducts entrance examinations for its postgraduate and PhD courses.

1. B.Tech admission: Applicants need at least 45% aggregate marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. JEE Main or CUET scores are used to prepare the Madhya Pradesh state merit list, after which seats are allotted through counselling rounds.
2. BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, and BCA admission: Students who have passed 10+2 in the relevant stream can register through MP Online. Selection uses CUET or APSEE scores. The online merit list is followed by centralised MP Online seat allotment, which usually finishes by August in each session.
3. BA LLB and B.Pharm admission: BA LLB (Hons) applicants are selected using CLAT scores or a university entrance examination. B.Pharm seats are allotted through the Madhya Pradesh DPMT, or Dental and Pharmacy Merit Test, counselling process run by the state government. Both programmes require 10+2.
4. PG admission: MBA, MCA, MA, M.Sc, M.Com, LLM, and MSW applicants must hold a relevant undergraduate degree with at least 50% marks. APSU conducts its PG Entrance Examination annually in July and publishes a separate final merit list for every programme based on test performance.
5. PhD admission: A relevant postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks is required. APSU holds its PhD Entrance Examination annually in September, followed by an interview in the relevant department. Under UGC rules, applicants with UGC-NET or JRF qualifications may receive an exemption from the entrance examination.

APSU Cutoffs

Merit requirements for APSU undergraduate honours courses differ by subject and applicant category. The usual merit-list ranges for BA (Hons) and B.Sc (Hons) are shown below.

APSU Placements

APSU has a central Training and Placement Cell that arranges employer interaction, placement drives, and skill-development workshops for students in their final year. Companies from IT, banking, financial services and insurance, retail, and manufacturing have taken part in campus recruitment. Visitors have included HDFC Bank, SBI, ICICI, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Airtel, Asian Paints, and Amway.

Data Science and Mining Engineering graduates from the B.Tech programme seek opportunities in analytics and core engineering. Many APSU students also prepare for teaching, banking, civil services, and other state or central government jobs through MPPSC, MPTET, SSC, UPSC, and banking examinations. Its Rewa location and affordable fee structure attract students from the Baghelkhand region who plan to enter government or public-sector careers.

APSU Rankings

APSU appears in the NIRF University ranking framework, which assesses factors that include academic standing and research output. Its latest listed position is given below.

The university has consistently been listed in the NIRF University category's 101 to 150 band. APSU is also recognised by the UGC and AICTE and has a NAAC B+ accreditation.

APSU Campus and Infrastructure

APSU occupies a 246.2-acre campus on Sirmour Road in Ananthpur, Rewa. The site contains all 22 teaching departments, administrative buildings, a central library, sports grounds, and separate residential hostels for male and female students. The hostels provide subsidised mess plans, CCTV monitoring, recreation rooms, and broadband internet. Print and digital materials in the central library support study and research across the university's disciplines.

Cricket, football, and athletics facilities are available on campus, and students are encouraged to compete in inter-university sports tournaments. Laboratories for biochemistry, microbiology, physics, and chemistry serve both undergraduate classes and doctoral research.

APSU Scholarships

Students enrolled at APSU can apply for state, central, and university-funded scholarships. Eligibility depends on academic performance, family income, category, or sporting achievement.

Payments under government scholarship schemes are transferred directly to student bank accounts through the MP Scholarship Portal or the National Scholarship Portal. Students should submit their applications before the deadline for the relevant academic session to prevent delays in payment.
