Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University (NMU) is a university situated in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, and was established on 15 August 1990. The college focuses on providing relevant information to the students, and as the college’s mission clearly states “To impart relevant quality higher education to the students, to groom them to be conscious, researchers, technologists, professionals, and citizens, bearing the torch for disseminating knowledge in masses for suitable socio-economic development of the society.” NMU was awarded the prestigious 4 Star Status by NAAC in 2001. NAAC re-accredited the university as a ‘B’ (CGPA 2.88 on a 4-point scale) university. NMU Admissions

To be admitted to the B.Tech program, candidates must pass the MHT CET, which is administered by the Maharashtra Department of Technical Education. Candidates are selected for the spot admission round for B.Sc (Actuarial Science) admission based on their marks in the previous qualifying test. Admission to the BBA, BMS, BCA, MCA (Integrated), and MBA (Integrated) programs is dependent on the candidates’ performance in the university’s Common Entrance Tests (CETs). NMU provides access to M.Sc. and MA programs through multiple Centralized Admission Process (CAP) rounds. Candidates are shortlisted for the CAP rounds based on their grades in the related Bachelor’s degree.

  • NMU holds a separate entrance exam for MA in Mass Communication (MCJ).
  • Candidates for MMS and M.Ed courses must pass the DTE’s MAH MMS CET and MAH M.Ed CET, respectively.
  • Candidates for MBA and MCA programs must pass the MAH MBA CET and MAH MCA CET, both of which are administered by DTE.
  • Candidates who have passed the GATE exam are eligible to apply for the M.Tech program.
  • Admission to the Ph.D. program is dependent on a passing score on the university’s Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET). PET is exempted for CSIR NET/ JRF/ UGC NET eligible applicants.

Students Adoption Scheme

The University funds this scholarship initiative to support financially disadvantaged students. Candidates must achieve a minimum of 60% in order to be eligible.

Economically Backward Student Support Scheme

This plan is also for economically deprived students. This scheme is open to 10% of all enrolled students in the campus’s schools and institutes.

Eklavya Vidyadhan Scheme
