We have little knowledge of the placements in the college. Most people are placed by their own networks. Placements are not that good because the committees responsible are not very active. But we have alumnis everywhere, so it is more of a reach problem, than the competence problem.
I wanted to do law and become a judge. And what better way of learning law than a NLU. So, I gave the CLAT exam and luckily got into RMLNLU. In CLAT, we are alloted colleges on the basis of our ranks. Cut off for RMLNLU is always around 700 ranks.
Read Full ReviewPlacement here is decent. Decent because most of the people from the batch did not seat in the placement drive because many of them prepared for Judicial and civil services. But the people who seat 90% of them secures good placement. Usually in law schools good amount of placements are there in law firms ( Tier 1 and Tier 2), chambers of advocate. However MNC like Deloitte, EY, Unilever etc. also comes to our college. Some of the banks also comes in our college for recruitment like ICICI, HDFC, PNB etc.
For getting admission in RMLNLU, students have to clear the Common law admission test (CLAT) with a good rank, like for gen rank it is between 200-500, for OBC it may go upto 3500 air rank. Students have to qualify only the written exam of CLAT and there is not any interviews or group discussion. For the clat examination students have to go through of the subjects like, critical reasoning, reading comprehension, some legal knowledge, quantitative aptitude and current affairs. For preparing these student can get to the coaching, they also do self study but since there is not any fixed syllabus they have carve out it from different sources. Also students graduated from my college have dynamic career like, 50% of batch go for judicial or civil services examinations, rest 30% for corporate jobs rather placement in , various law firms, MNC's and other chambers and 15% of them go for higher studies from india as well as from abroad and rest 5% prepare for CAT examination.

I always had a keen interest in Law as a subject and in India the best place to study law is a National Law University, for that I had to give the Common Law Admission Test through which I got a Rank under 600 and was offered a choice between HNLU, MNLU mumbai, RMLNLU and RGNUL. I opted for RMLNLU because of being a native of Lucknow
Read Full ReviewI chose this course because of my interest in the field of law. The faculty reviews are mixed there are some really good professors as well. Exams are conducted twice a year at the end of the semester. The exams are decent as par with the standards of a National Law University. The fee is hiked every year, but there are plenty of scholarships available for the students.
The college is allotted through CLAT, which is a national-level entrance exam. The college was allotted based on my rank. It location of the college was a favourable factor which made me choose this college.
Read Full ReviewPlacement and Job - As of now the students in college are more oriented towards judiciary and Civil services paper and therefore the placement scene is not very good here. The admin does not play any active role in bringing Law Firms to the college, we have to get it on our own by doing interships. Last year in 2023 43 students got into a job but it was because of their own hard work and efforts. The range of package varies form 6 lac to 17 lacs.
Admission - The students have to sit for CLAT(Common Law Admission test) in order to get admission in one of the 23 State funded National Law universities.
