RGUKT Admissions Process

Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) offers application forms to both the students of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and that of the other states. Both the procedures follow different steps as illustrated below.

How to apply?

For the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh students

  • Step 1. Firstly, visit the official website of RGUKT.
  • Step 2. Search for the ‘admissions’ option in the top menu bar. Click on it and select the link providing for the ‘UG / PG / P. Hd. Admissions’.
  • Step 3. Now, a new window on the screen will show an option as ‘how to apply?’. Click on the option.
  • Step 4. Finally, the students domiciled in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana are required to choose the option of ‘Application Link for Andhra Pradesh Students’.
  • Step 5. In the end, fill in the application form providing the correct details about personal and educational information.
  • Step 6. Save the details before submitting the form and finally, pay the fees. Thus, completing the application procedure.

For the Other Students

Here, all the process remains the same as above. Only the NRI students and the Indian students domiciled in the states except that of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana are required to opt for an option (in the case of step 4, as given above) providing the link as ‘Other States and NRI Students’.

For All Students

  • Students can also fill in the application form for RGUKT, Kadapa by visiting the nearby Andhra Pradesh online centre.
  • Students must keep in mind to carry all the essential documents and a passport-size photograph along with them.
  • Students can pay the fees at the online centre by cash or debit card. Another option of paying the fees is available on the official website of RGUKT.

For PH / NCC/ CAI Students

  • These students are provided with an advantage (keeping in view of the special conditions) to send their application form by post to RGUKT, Kadapa.

RGUKT Placement

RGUKT Kadapa had just now concluded its recruitment procedure for the year 2021 – 2022. The placement cell of the university extends the job opportunities to all the students as soon as they reach the third year of their course. More details and facts about the same are mentioned below.

  • RGUKT Kadapa provides placement to almost 80% of its students till they reach their final years. This rate of placement goes as low as 50% and as high as 85%.
  • 12 – 15 companies participate in the placement procedures every year.
  • When the highest CTC goes to INR 30 lakhs per annum, the average remains at 5 lakhs per annum.
  • RGUKT constitutes the top 1% of the meritorious students of the state of Andhra Pradesh who are available for technical placements in companies like IBM, Infosys, etc.

RGUKT Scholarships

  • RGUKT offers scholarships, sponsored by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh to all students, including ones belonging to the reservation category & minority. 
  • The scholarship includes the course fees & hostel fees.
  •  The Govt. offers partial or full reimbursement to the eligible students. Non-SC/ST candidates having annual parent income less than Rs. 1 Lac & SC/ST
  • Candidates with annual parent income below Rs. 2 Lac are eligible for reimbursement of fee, subject to fulfilling other conditions set by the Govt

Ques. Is there any difference between the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Telangana, and the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technology?

Ans. No, there lies no difference between the IIIT and RGUKT, Telangana. Both the names are used for the same institute interchangeably. IIIT is a wider expression, whereas, RGUKT is used as a specific name for one of the IIITs.
