Netaji Subhas University is accepting applications for the 2026-27 academic session across its programme groups. Students can apply through the NSU online portal at nsuniv.ac.in. B.Tech admission uses JEE Main, JCECE, or the NSU Entrance Exam. MBA admission accepts CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, or the NSU Entrance Exam. Pharmacy and Nursing admissions also accept JCECE and the NSU Entrance Exam.

NSU also runs ANM in Nursing at INR 1,00,000 and D.Pharma at INR 2,40,000. Hostel accommodation is available for both Boy’s and Girl’s hostels, with charges up to INR 80,000 per year.

The MBA course includes specialisations in Finance, Human Resource, Marketing, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Hospitality Management, Retail Management, Rural Management, Materials Management, Production Management, and Information Technology.

Netaji Subhas University Admission Process

NSU Jamshedpur admits students through entrance scores, merit, counselling, document checks, and fee payment, depending on the course. Students must apply online and submit the needed academic details and exam scores where applicable.

B.Tech Admission Process

B.Tech is the main engineering course at NSU and is offered in 8 specialisations. Students need 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and at least 45% aggregate for the general category.

• Step 1: Take JEE Main, JCECE (Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination), or the NSU Entrance Exam.
• Step 2: Fill the online application at nsuniv.ac.in using a valid scorecard.
• Step 3: Attend merit-based counselling for seat allotment.
• Step 4: Complete document verification and pay the fee at the campus.

For Lateral Entry B.Tech, Diploma holders from relevant engineering streams can apply if they have at least 45% aggregate. This 3-year programme has a total fee of INR 2,80,000.

MBA Admission Process

The 2-year MBA is open to graduates from any discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks. NSU uses CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, and NSU Entrance Exam scores for MBA admission.

• Step 1: Get a valid CAT, MAT, XAT, or CMAT score, or appear for the NSU Entrance Exam.
• Step 2: Submit the online application with academic records.
• Step 3: Shortlisted students are invited for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
• Step 4: The university prepares the merit list and confirms seats.

Pharmacy and Nursing Admission Process

For B.Pharm and B.Sc Nursing, students must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and at least 45%. These courses accept JCECE as well as the NSU Entrance Exam. GNM admission also uses JCECE or the NSU Entrance Exam, while ANM admission is based on Class X and XII merit.

Law Admission Process

The 5-year Integrated BBA + LLB Hons course is for Class XII students with at least 45% aggregate. The 3-year LLB course is for graduates. Admission to both courses can be through CLAT, LSAT India, or the NSU Entrance Exam.

Undergraduate Arts, Commerce, and Science Admission Process

BBA, BCA, B.Com Hons, B.Sc, and BA admission is mainly based on 10+2 merit in the relevant stream. Students need at least 45% aggregate in Class XII. The NSU Entrance Exam is also accepted as another admission route.

Netaji Subhas University Placements

NSU Jamshedpur reported its biggest placement drive in 2024. More than 800 students were placed, and 202 companies visited the campus. The reported average package was INR 5.95 LPA, while the highest package stood at INR 12 LPA.

Recruiters named by the university include TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Deloitte, EY, Genpact, ITC, Airtel, Reliance, Delhivery, CEAT Tyres, and IDFC Bank. Students receive offers in IT services, BFSI, FMCG, logistics, telecom, and consulting. Engineering students mainly get roles in IT and manufacturing, while MBA students are placed in banking, retail, and operations roles.

Netaji Subhas University Campus and Infrastructure

Netaji Subhas University has a 25-acre residential campus at Pokhari, away from the main city centre of Jamshedpur. Its location gives students a quieter study environment while keeping them within reach of the city’s industrial and corporate areas.
