Sarala Birla University, established in 2017 is a private university in Ranchi, Jharkhand. It is a self-financed university that has several academic schools under it namely the School of Engineering and Computer Sciences, School of Humanities and Linguistics, School of Commerce and Business Management, School of Legal Studies, etc. The courses provided in them include BTech, BPharm, BSc, BA, BBA, BCom, etc. SBU Ranchi is recognized by UGC and is accredited by NAAC.

Sarala Birla University offers BTech courses in various specializations. To be eligible for admission, candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks (45% in the case of reserved categories) in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The final selection will be based on the merit in the qualifying examination (10+2) along with JEE Main scores. The Sarala Birla University Ranchi fee structure for BTech ranges from INR 6.4 lakhs to INR 7.2 lakhs depending on the specialization.

SBU Ranchi Placement 2023 concluded with the highest package offered being INR 12 LPA and the average package stood at INR 4 LPA. Some of the recruiters were Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, TCS, EY, Intellipaat, Wipro, IDFC First Bank, ICICI Bank, Upgrad, etc.

SBU Ranchi offers several scholarships to help deserving students financially. The Merit Scholarship provides a 50% tuition fee waiver for students in Diploma, UG, or PG courses who secured 95% or above marks in the qualifying examination. Students who secured above 90% marks in the qualifying examination are eligible for a 25% tuition fee waiver.
