Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) Kakinada was established by the Government of India in 1963 under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. It is accredited by AACSB and graded A+ by NAAC. IIFT was accorded Deemed to be University status in 2002.

IIFT offers an MBA in International Business as its flagship course. To be eligible for admission, candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks (45% in the case of reserved categories) in Graduation from any recognized university. The final selection will be based on the CAT scores, followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview. IIFT course fee for MBA IB is INR 17.7 lakhs.

IIFT Kakinada Placements 2024 for MBA (IB) concluded with over 120 recruiters participating in the placement drive. The highest International CTC was INR 85.40 LPA, while the highest domestic CTC was INR 75.6 LPA. The average CTC was INR 27.3 LPA and the median CTC was INR 25 LPA. Some of the recruiters were Bloomberg, EY, Cargill, Cipla, Deloitte, Drools, Godrej, HSBC, TVS, etc.
