IIFT has announced the registration process for 2025 admissions from October 17, 2024. Current as well as prospective students can apply for the same from the official portal, applyadmission.net/IIFT2025/in or from the direct link provided below. IIFT registration last date for the first round is November 22, 2024.
As per the latest update, candidates applying under the Foreign National and NRI categories can start submitting their applications from January 15, 2025, with the deadline for submission being March 15, 2025. However, to do for IIFT registration 2025, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria that is, a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved category) from a recognized university.

IIFT Application Form 2025
Willing & eligible candidates can do online IIFT registration on its official website. They have to fill in their basic details with relevant supporting documents and submit the application form. However, the application process is completed by making payment of the application fee using a debit card/ credit card/ net banking or through mobile wallets (Paytm/UPI).
IIFT 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Details of IIFT eligibility criteria are mentioned below for candidates’ reference:
- Candidates applying for IIFT-MBA must have a Bachelor’s degree of three years duration in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent.
- For General category students, the minimum score requirement is 50 per cent aggregate in graduation and for SC/ST/PwD category students it is 45 per cent aggregate.
- Candidates in their final year of bachelor's degree awaiting results are also eligible to apply. Such candidates will have to submit the final year degree by the given deadline.
- Candidates with professional degrees equivalent to a Bachelor's degree are also eligible to apply (appear for CAT) for IIFT MBA admission.

IIFT Admit Card 2025
Registered candidates can download their IIFT admit cards from the official website by logging into the portal using their application number, date of birth, and security pin. Some key details of the IIFT admit card are listed below:
- Candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria and applying for IIFT 2025 within the stipulated time and date are issued admit cards.
- Candidates who carry their admit card in the examination centre are only allowed to enter the examination centre and appear for the entrance.
- The admit card contains the name of the candidate, category and gender, exam date, time, centre, guidelines, etc for the IIFT 2025.

IIFT Cutoff 2025
Once the results are declared, the iift cut-off will be made available on the official website. NTA releases cut-offs in two forms:
- Sectional Cutoff
- Category-wise Cut Off
The sectional cut-off includes separate cut-offs of all sections while the category-wise cut-off is published based on the candidate’s category. Candidates scoring the cut-off marks and above are called for GD/ PI for final selection. Tabulated below is the reservation of seats for IIFT admission based on category:

IIFT Selection Process
Like previous years, IIFT 2024 selection process would consist of a Written Ability Test (WAT), followed by a Group Discussion (GD)/Extempore and finally Personal Interview. The final selection is based on the following parameters:
- Class 10th and 12th scores
- Score in graduation
- Work experience
- Performance in the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD)/ Extempore, and Personal Interview.
Essay Writing: In this stage, candidates who have cleared the written ability test are divided into groups of 8 and given a topic to write a short essay in 20 minutes. Each group gets one topic to write and topics may vary from business & economics to politics & society.
Group Discussion/ Extempore: In this stage, candidates are divided into groups and each group is given a topic. Each member of a group is called to speak on the topic for a minute followed by a group discussion which lasts for 30-40 minutes. The GD round is used to evaluate a candidate's leadership qualities, communication skills, and convincing ability.
In the extempore round, each candidate is given a topic to speak making a convincing argument for or against it.
Personal Interview: In the personal interview round candidates are asked questions related to their work experience, hobbies, and academic history. The sole purpose of this round is to assess a candidate’s communication, analytical & problem-solving skills.

Ans: As per the latest information, like in previous years, the Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension section would be carrying the maximum weightage. This section comprises 35 questions carrying 105 marks. For each incorrect attempt, one mark will be deducted from this section.
Ques: Is the IIFT exam score valid for MBA admission in other B-Schools other than IIFT?
Ans: No. Though IIFT is a national-level entrance examination, it is an institute-level examination. Candidates qualifying in this examination would get admission to the MBA program at IIFT Delhi, IIFT Kolkata, and IIFT Kakinada only.
