Situated in Kolkata, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade was established in 2006. Accredited with grade ‘A’ by the NAAC, the institute is a private, autonomous institution. IIFT Kolkata offers postgraduate, certificate, doctoral and off-campus courses in Management. IIFT was ranked 15 for Management in 2024.

IIFT Kolkata’s flagship course is the two-year full time MBA program, offered in International Business. Candidates should have completed graduation with 50% to be eligible for the program. Candidates will be selected based on a computer-based test, writing skills assessment, group discussion and a personal interview. The total intake of this course is 253 seats. Rs 21.32 Lakhs is the total fees of this program.
Additionally, IIFT Kolkata offers a variety of courses which include MA, PGDM Executive, Integrated Program in Management, PhD in Management, Diploma, and Certification in 3 specialisations.

The 7-acre IIFT Kolkata campus is home to facilities like a hostel, library, a computer room and a computer room.

Scholarships at IIFT Kolkata are awarded on a Merit-cum-Means basis, each trimester. The IIFT Merit-cum-Means Scholarship provides 20% of the tuition fee to 10% of admitted students in Full-Time/Regular programs, with eligibility based on family income under Rs. 8.00 lakh every year. The Government of India offers various central and state level scholarships to students, details of which are available on the National Scholarship Portal. In 1985, Exim Bank established a scholarship for SC/ST students at IIFT, awarding the topper among them the equivalent of the first-year tuition fees i.e up to Rs 3.5 Lakhs.

The 2024 IIFT Kolkata Placement Drive for MBA (IB) witnessed the participation of 120 reputed organisations from various domains. The highest international CTC offer was recorded at INR 85.40 LPA, while the highest domestic CTC offered was Rs 75.6 LPA. Reputed companies like Accenture, CapGemini, Johnson & Johnson Co, JP Morgan Chase & Co, Cognizant, Wipro and Tata Steel were the top recruiters for 2024.
