IIFT Delhi Important Admission Dates 2027

For MBA (International Business) and MBA (Business Analytics), IIFT will use CAT 2026 scores to shortlist applicants for the 2027-29 batch. The application deadline and CAT examination date are confirmed in the official IIFT prospectus. The other dates below are tentative. MA Economics has a separate entrance test and admission schedule.

IIFT Delhi Major Courses and Fees

Study options at IIFT Delhi include full-time degrees, executive courses, doctoral research and shorter programmes in business and trade. MBA International Business is offered at all four IIFT campuses. For Delhi, the full 2-year MBA IB fee is INR 32.47 Lakhs; MBA Business Analytics costs INR 17.93 Lakhs, while MA Economics costs INR 4.07 Lakhs.

Indian applicants cannot enter through a management quota; every seat is allotted on merit. Students belonging to SC, ST or PwD categories receive a 50% reduction in tuition fees for all programmes.

IIFT Delhi Admission Steps

IIFT handles admissions itself, including the allocation of MBA seats. There is no central counselling authority for these seats. MBA selection has two stages that assess CAT performance, aptitude and performance in the personal interview.

Selection for MBA International Business and MBA Business Analytics

Applicants need a degree from a recognised university with at least 50% aggregate marks. The minimum is 45% for SC/ST/PwD applicants. Students completing their final year may apply, but must show proof of their degree at admission. Previous employment is not compulsory.

1. IIFT prepares the first shortlist using CAT 2026 scores. Category-wise shortlisting cutoffs are relaxed by 2 marks for women. Graduates from non-engineering subjects may receive up to 5 bonus points.
2. Those shortlisted take a Written Ability Test (WAT), a Group Discussion (GD) or Extempore, and a Personal Interview (PI) at one of the four IIFT campuses. Extempore assesses a candidate's ability to speak on a topic without prior preparation.
3. The final merit calculation assigns 55 points to CAT, 20 points to PI, 10 points to GD or Extempore, 5 points to work experience and 5 points to academic consistency.
4. Applicants state their preferred campus. IIFT then allocates campuses according to merit position and available seats.

Selection for MA Economics

Graduates in Economics, Statistics or Mathematics can apply with a minimum of 50% marks. They must take IIFT's separate entrance examination, which tests Economics, Mathematics and Statistics. Applicants who clear the shortlist attend a personal interview at IIFT Delhi.

Selection for Executive PGDI International Business and Ph.D

For Executive PGDIB, applicants must have at least 3 years of work experience after graduation. IIFT considers their academic record, work profile and GD/PI performance. Ph.D applicants need UGC NET or GATE qualification and must then complete IIFT's written examination and interview.

IIFT Delhi Placement Results

All students in IIFT Delhi's MBA programmes are placed, giving the institute a 100% placement rate. During 2025, the largest domestic salary offer stood at INR 72 LPA, while the highest international offer was INR 1.23 Crore PA. More than 135 companies took part in final placements. LPA means lakhs per annum, and PA means per annum.

The 2025 MBA International Business batch received an average salary of INR 31.30 LPA, compared with INR 27.3 LPA in 2024. MBA Business Analytics recorded an average of INR 25.30 LPA. The largest shares of offers came from Sales and Marketing at 34%, Finance at 22%, and Operations at 12%.

Recruiters include Microsoft, McKinsey, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, ITC, TATA, Deloitte, Amazon and Accenture. IIFT's trade and international business courses attract regular recruitment from consulting businesses, export-import divisions and companies operating across countries.

IIFT Delhi National Rankings

IIFT Delhi holds a position within India's top 20 management institutes in NIRF. Its focus on international business also distinguishes it in the management rankings published by India Today, IIRF and other subject-focused ranking bodies.

IIFT Delhi Campus Life and Facilities

In South Delhi's Qutab Institutional Area, IIFT occupies 6.5 acres. Teaching facilities include two academic blocks, computer laboratories and seminar rooms. Students can use a central library that provides international trade journals and databases.

The campus has 3 hostels, with rooms available for either single or triple occupancy. Residential services include mess facilities, drinking-water purifiers, common rooms, laundry and security. Applicants with CAT scores between 97 and 99 percentile often consider IIFT Delhi, FMS Delhi and XLRI Jamshedpur together. These management institutes differ in their subject focus, programme choices and fees.

For an international business specialisation, IIFT provides dedicated study in trade law, export-import management and global logistics that is unavailable at FMS or XLRI. Delhi University's subsidy keeps FMS fees low, making it an affordable option. XLRI provides a wider programme range, including Human Resources and General Management.
