SIBM Pune Admission Dates 2027

SIBM Pune uses SNAP for admission to its flagship MBA and MBA Innovation and Entrepreneurship courses. The 2027-29 admission cycle is active now. Applicants have to complete SNAP registration on snaptest.org and also apply separately for SIBM Pune on the SIU portal.

SIBM Pune Courses and Fees

SIBM Pune is best known for its 2-year residential MBA. The flagship MBA and MBA I&E require hostel stay. The fee details below are based on official SIBM Pune documentation for the 2026-28 batch.

For the flagship MBA, the Year 1 all-in installment is INR 9,12,100. This includes academic fee of INR 6,55,000, hostel fee of INR 1,57,300, mess fee of INR 59,800, and refundable deposits of INR 40,000. Year 2 hostel and mess charges are shared before the second year. These may rise by up to 15% for hostel and up to 10% for mess from the Year 1 rates. Students should plan for a full 2-year cost of INR 16 to 18 Lakhs including accommodation.

SIBM Pune Admission Process

Admission to SIBM Pune is highly competitive among SNAP-based institutes. General Category applicants usually need 97 percentile or higher for a shortlist. The selection process starts with SNAP, followed by Group Exercise and Personal Interview.

SIBM Pune MBA Admission Process

Applicants must register for SNAP and also complete SIBM Pune programme registration on the SIU portal. A valid SNAP score alone is not enough if the SIU programme form is not submitted on time.

• Eligibility: Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university. General/OBC candidates need at least 50% aggregate, while SC/ST candidates need at least 45% aggregate. Final-year students can apply provisionally.
• Step 1: Register at snaptest.org and pay the SNAP fee of INR 1,750.
• Step 2: Apply for SIBM Pune on the SIU portal and pay the programme fee of INR 1,000. Both registrations must be completed before November 20, 2026.
• Step 3: Take SNAP 2026. Candidates can attempt the test up to 3 times on December 6, 14, and 20, 2026. The best score is considered.
• Step 4: Check the shortlist in January 2027. The usual General Category cutoff is 97 percentile or above.
• Step 5: Attend GE-PIWAT, which includes Group Exercise, Written Ability Task, and Personal Interview, in February 2027.

The final score is calculated as SNAP 50% + GE 10% + PI 40%. After the SNAP shortlist, the Personal Interview carries the highest weight. GE-PIWAT is held at selected centres, and candidates choose the venue during registration.

SIBM Pune MBA Innovation and Entrepreneurship Admission

MBA I&E follows the same route as the flagship MBA. SNAP is compulsory, and the eligibility rules are the same. A candidate may apply for both programmes in the same cycle by paying INR 1,000 per programme on the SIU portal. MBA I&E has a separate cohort and a lower academic fee of INR 9.80 Lakhs.

SIBM Pune Placements

For the 2023-25 batch, SIBM Pune achieved 100% placement. The highest package stood at INR 53.58 LPA, while the mean package was INR 28.83 LPA and the median package was INR 26.04 LPA. A total of 109 companies came to campus, including 54 first-time recruiters. The top 10% of students averaged INR 38.35 LPA, and the top 25% averaged INR 35.03 LPA.

Finance, FMCG, and Consulting offered many of the higher packages. Automotive and manufacturing recruiters hired for Operations and Supply Chain Management roles. BFSI companies such as Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and insurance firms recruited Finance students. IT and e-commerce companies offered data analytics and product roles.

With an average package of INR 28.83 LPA, SIBM Pune is among the higher-paying MBA options that accept SNAP scores. Its 100% placement record across recent batches points to a recruiter base built over more than 45 years.

SIBM Pune Rankings

SIBM Pune is placed 11th in the NIRF Management Rankings 2025 with a score of 67.90. Among management institutes accepting SNAP, it has the highest position in the NIRF list. Its Governance and Outreach score is 94.56 out of 100.

SIBM Pune Campus and Infrastructure

SIBM Pune is based at Symbiosis Knowledge Village, Lavale, Pune 412115, on the outskirts of Pune and close to Hinjewadi IT Park. Other constituent institutes of SIU are also located around the campus, giving students a wider university setting. The campus is reachable by road from Pune city and is near the Hinjewadi technology cluster, which supports many placement links.

The institute has seminar halls, case discussion rooms, a Bloomberg data terminal lab, and access to a central library shared by SIU institutes. Separate hostels are available for male and female students. The Year 1 fee for 3-sharing hostel accommodation is INR 1,57,300 per annum. Mess facilities are provided on campus. SIBM Pune has the strongest NIRF Management 2025 rank among SNAP-based institutes and is located near Hinjewadi IT hub in Pune. This helps its Consulting, FMCG, and BFSI placement connections. XLRI Jamshedpur has an older legacy and a strong alumni base in HR and Business Management, with its PGDM BM and HRM programmes placed among India’s top management options. SCMHRD Pune belongs to the same SIU ecosystem, so it is a close comparison for SNAP applicants who prefer Pune.
