JBIMS Admission Process

JBIMS uses entrance scores and programme-specific selection rules for admission. Full-time MMS, M.Sc. Finance, and MHRD admissions are through CAP, while Part-Time MMS and Ph.D. follow separate institute-level processes.

MMS Admission

The MMS batch has 156 seats. These include 120 Maharashtra State quota seats, 18 All India (OMS) seats, and the remaining seats for EWS, PwD, and other reserved categories.

Students need a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks. Reserved category students need 45% marks. A valid MAH-CET, CAT, or CMAT score is also required. Selection is done only through DTE Maharashtra CAP merit, with no Group Discussion or Personal Interview.

For JBIMS MMS, the MAH-CET cutoff for General Category Maharashtra Open seats usually stays between 99.98 to 99.99 percentile. For All India OMS seats, it is close to 99.99 percentile, making JBIMS one of India’s hardest MAH-CET colleges to enter.

M.Sc. Finance and MHRD Admission

M.Sc. Finance and MHRD also use the CAP process. Applicants must have a graduation degree with 50% marks and a valid MAH-CET, CAT, or CMAT score. The allotment is merit-based and does not include an interview.

M.Sc. Finance has 41 seats in each batch, while MHRD has 32 seats. Both courses are approved by AICTE and recognised by the University of Mumbai.

Part-Time MMS and Ph.D.

The Part-Time MMS is a 3-year programme for working professionals. Admission is based on the institute’s own entrance process and assessment of work experience. Ph.D. applicants can apply through UGC-NET, GATE, or the institute entrance test, followed by a research proposal presentation and interview.
