Remarks :
JBIMS is one of the best management school of india. Exams considered for admission are Maharashtra MBA CET, CAT and also if you have qualified UPSC mains you can apply for MSc finance at JBIMS. After getting shortlist students has to face WAT, GD and PI round.
Course Curriculum Overview :
MSc finance at JBIMS is a brainchild of former PM Manmohan Singh. When he visited london school of economics he was fascinated by the fact that they were offering world class program for finance and he was inspired and decided to offer same curriculum in india. Hence Msc finance was started at JBIMS in 2013. Faculties at JBIMS are one of the most experienced having very strong industry experience. Teachers not only teach from textbooks but they also gives insights about actual industry happening.

JBIMS offeres summer internships opportunites for all students. Various companies which are market leaders in finance and banks visits campus for recruitments. Roles offered were Wealth management, relationship manager, credit analyst, business analyst, financial consultant, investment banking etc

MSc finance at JBIMS is self finance course hence fees for all students is same that is 8 lakhs for two years. Below is detailed fee structure for first year - Tuition fee 150000, library fee 40000, extra curriculum fee 12000, development fee 70000, computer fee 50000, project fee 65000 and remaining miscellaneous fees totalling to 4 lakhs per year.
Campus Life :
JBIMS is located at the heart of Mumbai city in Churchgate. It is one of the oldest building of backbay reclamation hence infrastructure wise it is not that modern. But college does offer what students need like resourceful library, WIFI facility, canteen etc Msc finance have different clubs like Backbay magzine, Students acedemic commitee, placement committee, PR committee etc
Hostel Facilities :
JBIMS provides hostel facilities only for few selected students. Hostel is located at B road churchgate names as JS hall boys hostel. The food at JS hall is good and affordable. Hostel rooms are a bit old but the location speaks a volume since marine lines is just 2 minutes away from hostel.

Placement Offers were Good on Records till now Collage has its own Placement Department. The Placement Department is operated by professionals. It aims at providing placement to students in reputed companies with handsome packages around 80% placement was done in our batch. All the students got chance to prove themselves in campus placements. Companies like Amazon, TCS, IBM, Make my trip, Amazon, flipkart, Infosys, HDFC, ICICI etc. visit the campus offers an average package ranges 3 - 4.5 LPA going on to Highest was 28 - 45 LPA Companies conduct interview sessions, GD, test for selection of students.
The Time I Had Spent in my College

Placement was Good as there is a placement cell in the college that looks on managing placement for students by inviting Companies from different sectors Companies like Amazon Deloitte, Accenture, Reliance, HCL, Hyundai, HDFC bank, YES Bank, Axis bank etc. These companies make a number of offers to students offers an average package ranges 3 LPA and highest was 28 - 32 LPA. Companies conduct interview sessions, practical test, GD for selection of students and students needs to qualify all rounds to get selected also Internship opportunities was provided by college to give students practical experience and to give knowledge. Internship was also provided by college to give students practical experience and knowledge about current changing environment.

Course Curriculum Overview :
i chose computer engineering because i was interested in the technical field and wanted to build my career in engineering. the faculty were qualified and helpful, and their teaching was a mix of thoery ,ppts and practical. term exams were conducted on time and the difficulty was moderate

Placement opportunities are not so widely discussed by our faculty. My plan after the program is to appear for ugc net exam and to become an assistant professor. The minimum salary for assistance professor post is approx 35000.

The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
Reality of niat

no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.

The number of companies coming for campus placements go down with each passing year. The companies that do come (TresVista mostly) are quite poor in terms of work ethic and payout methods. This year, around 40-45 students from the graduating batch got campus placement out of the 110-120 that applied.
