IIFT will use CAT 2026 scores and other defined parameters for shortlisting and selection. The CAT exam is scheduled for November 29, 2026. Students who want to apply should check the programme-specific eligibility rules before paying the non-refundable application fee.

Which IIFT MBA programmes are open?

The application page is for two 2027-29 programmes:

  • MBA (International Business): the flagship programme listed for IIFT campuses including Delhi, Kolkata and Kakinada.
  • MBA (Business Analytics): the analytics-focused programme listed in the same 2027-29 admission brochure.

The brochure cover also lists the GIFT City campus among the locations connected with the International Business programme. Campus and programme details should be checked in the offer information issued by IIFT.

IIFT MBA 2027 eligibility

MBA (International Business)

  • A recognised bachelor’s degree of at least three years in any discipline is required.
  • The minimum is 50% marks. The brochure gives a 45% threshold for candidates from the SC, ST and PwD categories.
  • Applicants with completed CA, CS, ICWA/CMA or FIAI qualifications can also apply when they meet the stated marks requirement.
  • Candidates appearing for their qualifying examination can apply, but must submit proof of the required qualification by October 31, 2027.
  • The brochure specifies no age limit.

MBA (Business Analytics)

Applicants must meet one of the routes below:

  • A bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and Mathematics or Statistics as a subject at graduation level; or
  • A BTech or BE degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks; or
  • A bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and Mathematics at the Class 12 level. The brochure says Applied Mathematics at the 10+2 level will not be considered for this route.

Professional qualifications listed in the brochure are also accepted subject to the stated marks rule. Final-year candidates can apply provisionally and must submit proof of the required qualification by October 31, 2027. There is no age limit for this programme as well.

IIFT MBA 2027 application fee

The application fee is separate for each programme and is non-refundable after payment.

Candidate category MBA (IB) MBA (BA)
General, OBC-NCL and EWS ₹3,000 ₹2,000
SC, ST, PwD and transgender candidates ₹1,500 ₹1,000

These are application charges, not the programme tuition fee. The current brochure says the exact total fee for the MBA (Business Analytics) 2027-29 batch will be informed with the offer letters, so applicants should not treat the application fee as the cost of the MBA.

How to apply for IIFT MBA 2027

  1. Open the IIFT 2027 admission portal from the institute’s official MBA admission page.
  2. Choose the fresh-candidate registration option and create a login.
  3. Enter personal, academic and CAT registration details, then complete the programme and category selections.
  4. Upload the required documents in the formats specified in the official application guidelines.
  5. Pay the fee for the selected programme, review every field and submit the form.
  6. Save the system-generated application number, submitted form and payment confirmation.

IIFT says incomplete applications can be rejected. If there is a registration problem, the prospectus asks candidates to include their CAT registration number, IIFT application number and registered email address when contacting the admission office.

CAT 2026 and the next selection stages

IIFT will use the CAT 2026 score for shortlisting and selecting candidates for both MBA programmes, together with other defined parameters. IIMs conduct CAT, but the IIFT brochure makes clear that IIMs have no role in IIFT’s selection process or in conducting the programme.

The next published milestones are the second-round shortlist in the last week of January 2027, group discussion and interviews from February, final results in the last week of April and programme commencement in June. Candidates should keep checking the official IIFT website after submitting the form because the institute may publish a revised schedule there.

Action point: complete the IIFT MBA 2027 form and payment before November 25 at 11:59 PM. Check the separate IB and BA eligibility routes, select the correct programme fee and keep the submitted-form record before moving on to CAT preparation.
