SNAP 2026 applicants can choose from three international dual-degree MBA options. SIOM Nashik lists an operations programme with Durham University in the UK. SSBF Pune offers two banking and finance programmes: one with Aston University in Birmingham and one with Macquarie University in Sydney. You apply for a specific programme when registering for SNAP. A test score alone does not secure a place overseas.
Which degrees do you earn, and where do you study?
| Programme | Where you study | Second degree alongside the Symbiosis MBA |
|---|---|---|
| SIOM: Operations Management | Semesters 1 and 4 in Nashik; semesters 2 and 3 at Durham | MSc in Management (Supply Chain Logistics), as listed by SIOM |
| SSBF: Banking and Finance with Aston | Year 1 in Pune; year 2 in Birmingham | MSc Finance |
| SSBF: Banking and Finance with Macquarie | Year 1 in Pune; year 2 in Sydney | Master of Banking and Finance, specialising in Financial Management |
The timing matters if you are planning a move. A student on the Nashik programme would need to be ready to travel after just one semester and return to India for the last one. SIOM also says the agreement governing the transfer to Durham is still being finalised. Before paying a deposit, ask SIOM for written confirmation of the transfer terms for your batch.
Who can apply for SIOM Nashik and Durham?
SIOM accepts a BE or BTech in any branch. The minimum is 50% in the qualifying degree, or 45% for SC and ST applicants. Final-year engineering students can apply, provided their final marks meet the same requirement. If your qualifying degree is from a foreign university, you need an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities.
Shortlisted candidates attend a group exercise and personal interaction. SIOM sets out a further step after the admission offer: completing the transfer before the Durham semester starts. The engineering degree and marks above are SIOM’s entry rules. Ask for the academic and English-language conditions in your Durham offer before making travel plans.
What does SSBF require for Aston and Macquarie?
For either banking and finance dual degree, Symbiosis asks for at least 65% or an equivalent grade in a recognised bachelor’s degree. A foreign qualifying degree needs an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities. The two options have different requirements once you reach Pune.
Aston University: first-semester marks and English
You need at least 6.5 GPA in your first semester at SSBF. The partner requirements listed by Symbiosis include a bachelor’s result of 60% overall or an equivalent GPA, and prior study in economics, statistics, quantitative methods, maths or finance. Ask SSBF which marks and modules on your transcript meet Aston’s subject requirement. The 60% partner requirement does not lower the 65% needed to enter SSBF.
For English, the listed Class 12 minimum is 75% for CBSE or ISC and 80% for a state board or NIOS. The alternative is IELTS 6.5 overall, with three bands at 6.0 and one at 5.5. Work experience is preferred, but you can apply without it. If you claim work or internship experience, keep the supporting document.
Macquarie University: first-year marks and proof of funds
For Sydney, SSBF lists a minimum 6.5 CGPA in semesters 1 and 2. Macquarie also requires a weighted average mark of at least 65 for the first year. These are separate measures; ask SSBF how your marks will be reported. Macquarie’s undergraduate minimum of 50% does not replace the 65% needed at SSBF.
Applicants must be under 30 when they apply. Academic IELTS requires 6.5 overall and at least 6.0 in every band, or an equivalent qualification. Have your SIU-certified Class 12 marks and bachelor’s degree documents ready. You must also show that you can pay tuition and living costs in Australia. Work experience is preferred rather than compulsory; provide proof if it applies to you.
What fees should you budget for?
For regular Indian seats in the 2027–29 batch, SIOM lists academic fees of Rs 7,69,500 for each of the two Nashik semesters, or Rs 15,39,000 together. The refundable institute deposit is Rs 20,000. That academic fee is for the Nashik part: Durham fees, travel and accommodation are separate.
For both SSBF programmes, you pay first-year fees in Pune and second-year fees to the partner university. SSBF’s fee tables for the 2026–28 batch are for students who started a year earlier. Before comparing Birmingham with Sydney, get the fees for your own batch in pounds or Australian dollars. Compare living costs separately from tuition.
How do you apply through SNAP 2026?
Register at snaptest.org and pay the test fee by 25 November 2026. Each test costs Rs 2,550. Select the named dual degree and pay Rs 1,000 for each programme you want to be considered for; taxes may apply to both fees. SIOM and SSBF list 17 January 2027 for institute registration and payment. You still need to meet the November test deadline. Paying for the ordinary banking and finance MBA does not pay for either overseas option.
What to do next
Check the exact programme name before paying. If you are applying for finance, compare your marks and English results with the rules for your chosen university. If you are applying for operations, ask SIOM to confirm the Durham transfer terms and overseas fees for the 2027 intake in writing.
