IIT Bombay has opened CEED 2027 registration for students who want to study design at the postgraduate level. The regular-fee application window closes on October 31, 2026. Students who miss it can still submit the form with a late fee from November 1 to November 6, 2026, up to 5:00 pm, through the official CEED 2027 website: https://www.ceed.iitb.ac.in/2027/.

WHAT TO DO NEXT
• Complete the CEED form and payment before October 31 if you want to avoid the late fee.
• Keep your degree or final-year study proof, photograph and signature ready.
• Download the information brochure and check the institute rules separately. A CEED score does not give automatic admission.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR CEED 2027?
A student can apply after completing a degree, diploma or postgraduate degree of at least three years after Class 12. Students who will finish such a programme by July 2027 can also apply. The rules also allow candidates who have passed the five-year Government Diploma in Art after Class 10 by July 2027.

WHAT IS THE CEED 2027 PAPER PATTERN?
The test has two parts. Part A is a computer-based section with numerical answer, multiple-choice and multiple-select questions. It checks visual and spatial ability, awareness, reasoning, language, observation and design sensitivity. Part B has five questions that test drawing and writing skills. IIT Bombay calculates the final score using 25% of Part A marks and 75% of Part B marks.

WHERE CAN A CEED SCORE BE USED?
CEED-qualified students can apply for M.Des. and PhD programmes in design at participating institutes. The official list includes IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IISc Bengaluru and IIITDM campuses. Each institute decides its own admission process, tests, interviews and scholarship rules.

WHAT SHOULD STUDENTS REMEMBER?
Qualifying in CEED does not guarantee a seat. Students must apply to the design programme of their choice after checking its eligibility and admission dates. The CEED score is valid for one year from the result date. Check the official brochure for examination cities, certificates and test-day instructions.
