Life at IIFT- Delhi

What I Liked

Infrastructure is amazing and a very Calm environment for students
Faculty is quite experienced and helpful

What I didn’t like

The examination process could be made a little smooth.
The college should hire a professional placement cell

Remarks:

Yes there's an entrance test followed by an interview procedure. The hype for placement and curriculum made me choose this institute. Also, the course is very application based and therefore in depth knowledge is attained which helps in the real corporate world.

What I Liked

Structured. The admin is supportive and prompt.
Faculties are easy to reach out to and knowledgable.

What I didn’t like

Campus is strict as the campus head lives inside the campus premises only.
Mess food is pretty average and there are not many options

Remarks:

Major factor was placements. Campus is nice and beautiful but the rules are very strict. Faculty is good especially for trade. Mess food is average. College is located on the outskirts of Kolkata but is well connected.

One of the best college for MBA

What I Liked

The faculty of the college is very good. They have PHDs from very reowned colleges. Also the professors give consulting to government in various projects as to how to improve the trade of the country
The campus facilities are very good we are being provided with lot of data which is veru expensive in outside world. Secondly we are also being given bloomberg terminals that are of utmost important for finance people

What I didn’t like

The location of the campus is not so good. It is on very outskirts and the things are not very much available nearby
The campus size is quite small. Yiu dont have much room to walk around the campus. the space is very limited

Remarks:

The reason I chose this college is because of the brand value it carries, its placements as well as its top-class faculty. Yes, we had to take a written test for IIFT then the shortlisting happens on various criteria after that the people will be called for the extempore and interview. The cut-off changes every year. The college calculates the composite score based on the academic background 10,12 marks and special points were given to girls for gender diversity. This is mainly for 1st shortlisting which is for an interview. Then again a composite score is calculated based on the work experience, extempore, and group discussion performance. Thereafter the final shortlist is released for the campuses. Currently, IIFT has scrapped the IIFT exam and the intake is through CAT. I prepared by going through all the current news and also enrolled for a CAT coaching that helped me crack the Entrance as well as the interview.
