Student Partners Program (SPP) was created by teaming up the Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC), the Government of Canada, and the Canadian High Commission. Main goal is to help more students get study permits and make the whole process smoother. Cambrian College is one of the partner institutions, and they will work closely with visa offices to make sure students get their Canada student visa and study permit. Right now, this program is running in India and China. Candidates don't have to separately apply for the SPP (Student Partners Program). Applicants has to apply to a college that is part of the program. If the application meets the specific requirements, candidates might be considered under this program. It is better to apply at least three months before the academic course begins. A medical checkup from one of the authorized doctors in India is mandatory for this.

Eligibility for Applying under SPP

There are multiple criteria that the candidates need to check before applying and study in Canada. Here are the eligibility conditions for applying under the SPP.

For Undergraduate Degrees

• There should be a study gap of no more than two years, but some students with exceptional grades may get exceptions for up to three years.
• The program applying for should complement previous education and add value to it.
• Have a minimum overall score of 50% in most recently completed diploma or degree.
• Proof of tuition payment for at least one semester or one year, as required by the SPP institution.
• To be eligible for the IELTS exam, candidates need an overall score of 6.5, and all sections should have a minimum score of 6.0.
• Buy a special Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) from Scotia Bank, worth $10,000 CAD (INR 6,07,841.67), to cover living expenses for the first year in Canada.
• If previously denied a Canadian student visa, candidates cannot apply under SPP.

For Post Graduate Degrees

• An overall IELTS score of 6.5.
• Each section in the IELTS exam should have a minimum score of 6.0.
• The IELTS score should be valid for the past 24 months.
• Can't have a study gap of more than 5 years, but there might be exceptions for students with excellent grades and a six-year gap.
• The program applying for should complement and add value to previous education.
• At least a Second Class C-level with an overall minimum score of 50% in most recent diploma or degree.
• Proof of MBA Canada fees payment for one semester or one year, as required by the SPP institution.
• Purchase a special Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) worth $10,000 CAD from Scotia Bank to cover living expenses for the first year in Canada.
• No more than eight backlogs in previous degree when graduated.
• If previously denied a Canadian student visa, candidates can't apply under SPP.
