Rammohan College is a B++-graded institute by NAAC (re-accredited). It is situated in the heart of Kolkata and is one of the oldest first-grade colleges in West Bengal. It is affiliated with the University of Calcutta, in 1961.

Rammohan College, Kolkata recently closed its undergraduate admission. This college offers a plethora of undergraduate courses such as B.Ss, B.Ed, B.A. B.Com, etc. There are a total of 1644 seats in the undergraduate programs, both honors and general, for all the categories collectively. The college offers a quality education at a very reasonable rate. The minimum eligibility criteria are 10+2 from a registered board of education with a minimum 50% aggregate.

The college does not organize any entrance examination for the applicants, hence, the candidates are selected purely on merit, based on their aggregate score in high school examination into the undergraduate courses. The candidate with a higher merit score is given priority. However, the merit list is made on the basis of the highest aggregate score in the class 12th board examination. The college takes into consideration 5 core subjects of the mark sheet, to calculate the aggregate and release the list. The 5 core subjects are two languages and three main elective subjects.

The eligibility criteria are the candidate's aggregate score in class 12th in a relevant subject from a recognized board of education. The aggregate score varies for every reservation category as follows:

  1. GEN/OBCA/OBCB/PH- 50% in aggregate or 45% or 55% in the respective subject for all the honors courses.
  2. SC/ST- 40% in aggregate or 40% in the respective subject for all the honors courses.
  3. 30% aggregate in respective subjects for general undergraduate courses.
