Basic things you need to know before joining salesian college sonada, siliguri

What I Liked

I love the structure and the sports facilities in th college campus of salesian college . The most admirable thing and every one loves about salesian college I that the teachers or the faculty members are like your friends and family members as they are very close and students friendly and very much loving.
The great thing in salesian college is that you won't get bored at all in the college it self even if the classes get hectic as the compound is huge and there are lots of things you can do inside the college to get rid of stress and tensions like playing football , volleyball, cricket , roam around the college , okay table tennis in the time of recess break and lunch break ..

What I didn’t like

The thing I hate the most about salesian college is that it is a very strict college and we have to follow each and every code and conduct mentioned in the hand book or the diary of the college or else there are consequences and action is taken against the students .
Another thing I hate about salesian college is that it is very strict in the entry time of the student in the Morning hours as the college starts at 8:30 and no one is allowed to enter the college after 8:30 and the rule is such that the student has to reach the college before 8:30 and even if the student has arrived on 8:32 or 8:45 he/she is not allowed to enter the college and can only be allowed to enter after 10:30 but has to wait from 8:30 to 10:30 right outside the college gate or else he/she is not allowed to enter and lastly once the student is inside the college campus he/she is never allowed to leave the college campus untill the whole schedule of classes are over for the day and the class start at :830 and end at 2:40 and the student is not allowed to leave the college campus untill 2:40.

Placement Experience:

After completing my college i plan to go abroad and work on for an NGO or open one myself that will tend to others when I need of help . Or if that doesn't work I'll try my best to complete my Masters in sociology Hons and will try to have a job as a political social councellor. Or even if I don't even get that job I would rather take up a profession as a teacher of sociology or a professor in sociology after i complete my Masters.

Internships Opportunities:

No I have not opted for intership as I will only apply for one as soon as I finish my degree of masters. As I am very for a job right now and I need to graduate first and score good marks so I can get better colleges to study furthermore and compete my master's.

An Honest review for Salesian College

What I Liked

I like the Campus life that my college offered me.
I like the different sports they order to the students.

What I didn’t like

I dislike some of the infrastructure of my college.
I dislike the treatment of students at times from faculty.

Placement Experience:

The placements are something that is dependent on the location of the campus although there is a branch of our college in siliguri. If you’re looking to be placed well that’s where you can transfer in your final years.

Internships Opportunities:

No I haven’t opted yet but I’m thinking about opting in a fellowship reading and program to get experience before graduation. There are seminars held from different such groups monthly or weekly where you get to know what different groups are doing and get a chance to be a part of them.

College Review

What I Liked

The infrastructure is quite updated with u getting every opportunity to exploit it and to use it for better purpose.
The faculties are too friendly amd helpful with a good indepth knowledge of the subject

What I didn’t like

The college is like a normal catholic college with a stricter environment
This college won't provide you with many internship facilities especially if you are from a Bachelor's programme.

Placement Experience:

There is placement cell working for providing internships but as it doesn't have any professional courses the internship available is not much neither with high package salary but is enough for a students recognition in his/her CV.

Internships Opportunities:

I have not opted for any internship but my seniors had. An technogical company Just Dial provided 20000 package per month and most of them got into the company and even got a certificate after completion.
