BSSS Admission Dates 2027-28

The next BSSS admission cycle is expected to start between May and June 2027. The schedule below is tentative and covers the application, merit-based counselling and admission confirmation stages.

BSSS Courses and Fees

BSSS provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses in humanities, commerce, management, computer applications, science, social work, education and physical education. Its fees are positioned among the more accessible options in Bhopal's private college segment.

Students may also take short-term certificates in Business Analytics, Cyber Security, Graphic Designing, Journalism, Banking, Digital Marketing and Tally. Each course generally costs INR 5,000 to INR 8,000 and can be completed alongside a regular degree programme.

BSSS Admission Process

Class 12 merit is the main basis for admission to undergraduate courses at BSSS. The college follows eligibility rules prescribed by Barkatullah University for most programmes. Its autonomous status allows BSSS to manage its own examinations and evaluation system.

UG Admission for BA, BBA, B.Com, BCA and B.Sc

Applicants generally need at least 45% in Class 12 from the relevant stream. Mathematics at the 10+2 level is preferred for BCA and B.Sc Computer Science. Applications can be submitted through the BSSS online portal or Barkatullah University's centralised counselling system.

BBA receives a high volume of applications because of the college's NAAC Grade A+ accreditation and its fee level. BCA with AI and Machine Learning is a newer specialisation that has seen growing demand.

B.Ed Admission

Admission to B.Ed is based on the MP B.Ed Combined Entrance Test. An applicant must hold a graduation degree with at least 50%. The MP Online counselling process assigns seats according to entrance test rank.

PG Admission for MA, M.Com, M.Sc and MSW

Admission to postgraduate study depends on marks in the relevant undergraduate degree. The required graduation score ranges from 45% to 50%. MSW admission is more competitive because fewer seats are available. Students apply through the Barkatullah University PG admission portal, after which the college admission committee prepares the shortlist.

BSSS Placements

The BSSS placement cell arranges on-campus hiring mainly for BBA, B.Com, BCA and selected BA courses. More than 300 companies participate each year. The highest offer recorded is INR 7.6 LPA. Packages generally range from INR 1.85 LPA to INR 3 LPA for undergraduate students and INR 2.5 LPA to INR 5 LPA for postgraduate students.

Amazon, Concentrix and Wipro are anchor recruiters that have hired large groups of BSSS students. Amazon selected 289 students in a single recruitment drive, while Concentrix has regularly been one of the college's largest recruiters. The recruiter list also includes Infosys, Accenture, Deloitte, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, ICICI Prudential, Axis Bank, Larsen and Toubro, Zomato and HSBC.

Banking, insurance, IT services and retail are the main employment areas for BBA and BCA graduates. Many BA and Social Work graduates instead choose government employment, NGO work or further study. This pattern contributes to a lower reported placement percentage for the full graduating group.

BSSS Scholarships

Students at BSSS may apply for Madhya Pradesh government assistance and central government support offered through the National Scholarship Portal. Separate schemes are available for eligible SC, ST, OBC, EWS and minority community students.

Eligible students can submit applications through the National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in or the MP Scholarship Portal. The usual application period falls between September and November each year.

BSSS Campus and Infrastructure

The BSSS campus is in Habibganj, a central part of Bhopal with good connectivity. Several academic blocks accommodate 11 departments, seminar halls and language laboratories. The library holds a broad collection and provides access to EBSCO digital research databases.

An on-campus girls hostel charges between INR 77,000 and INR 1.32 Lakhs per year, based on the chosen room and meal plan. Day scholars can use the college bus service. BSSS also has active National Service Scheme and NCC units, while the SAATH programme provides mental health support for student wellbeing.

The campus includes research centres and an entrepreneurship incubation facility. Students have access to indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Cultural, literary, community service and other extracurricular clubs also operate at the college.

BSSS vs IPS Academy vs Sage University Bhopal

BSSS Bhopal, IPS Academy Indore and Sage University Bhopal are private options commonly considered for arts, commerce and management education in Madhya Pradesh. They differ in institutional type, accreditation, course selection, location and cost.

Among these three institutions, BSSS has the strongest NAAC grade, the longest history and the lowest listed BBA fee. IPS Academy benefits from its Indore location and access to a stronger nearby industry base. Sage University is a newer multidisciplinary university that includes engineering along with commerce and management. BSSS is particularly suitable for students seeking social sciences, humanities or lower-cost degree study backed by a strong NAAC grade.
