One of the best college for pharmacy

What I Liked

I like the infrastructure and the lab facilities in the college as it is very well developed and as a very good sources around for your projects.
I also like the faculty around as a very helpful and help you through out your course then help you out throughout the semesters and for your project also

What I didn’t like

I dislike the very strict attendant post policy of the college has the college requires minimum 80% attendance
I also don't like the hostel facilities and the match facilities given by the college

Placement Experience:

College offers many placement of placement and job opportunities that criteria for placement depends depends on the number of students it also depends upon the marks the student has scored the student should have more than 50% for placement the frequent visitors for placement are Sun Pharma and their many office made one of which is on the higher side of 40k and average is about 25k the percentage of student getting placement is near about 80% and my plan about after come graduating from here is to purse you higher education.

Internships Opportunities:

I have not taken any internships get as I am still in my second year but will be planning to taking one soon on my 4th year there are many opportunities are wearing from industries to clinical research to pharmacy .

Life at Amrita

What I Liked

strong clinical exposure and structured academics
Building professionals through dedication and hard work

What I didn’t like

strict schedule with limited flexibility
limited coordination in some areas of academics

Placement Experience:

The placement process at Amrita is good. We can apply from the first year onwards. Two of our batchmates from another department got selected for one year internship when Novartis came for placement. With a salary of 25,000 per month with training.

Internships Opportunities:

Novartis is the company that came with an internship offer with a stipend of 25000 per month with training. Mainly they are dealing with quality operations. With regular exams and screening before promotions.

My college experience.

What I Liked

I like the infrastructure for the college
I like the playground and different court's.

What I didn’t like

I think it might be the campus life that I don't like.
Secondly it might be the hostel experience.

Placement Experience:

Amrita school of pharmacy does have a good placement options as there is tie-ups with several known firms. Dr. Reddy's, Apollo, Amrita hospital,aster, Lupin,etc. Amrita gives hundred percentage placements. I'm looking forward to take masters in pharmacy.

What I Liked

The faculties in the college is well qualified and they teach very well.
The lab facilities in the college is very good

What I didn’t like

The course is very tightly scheduled.
The food provided by the hostel is not good

There is a placement cell in the college. The recruiter will visit our college and conduct exam if we pass the exam and interview we will get placement.The placement cell will help in our placement process.In the last year most of the students got placement in differ companies

What I Liked

Faculties are good they teach as very well
Library is sufficient with a large number of books and computers

What I didn’t like

Food is not sufficient to meet our vitamins needs in our body
Campus life is not that much good as there is no programmes like other colleges

Placement Experience:

Placements and job opportunities are a lot as it is well known college . The college provide as with good job in the hospital itself. We can also practice as a research fellow. The college is well known for its job opportunities

Internships Opportunities:

No as I am a first year student i didn't opt for any internship or any practice in the hospital we are having practice section in clinics from our second year onwards and we have internship from sixth year.

Placement Experience:

There is placement office in the college with most most of students are passing out with placement. From the third year onwards they are moulding the student on how to appear for an interview and on improving the vocabulary and logical reasoning.

Provides great opportunity

What I Liked

Very good exposure to real world practical scenarios.
Students are provided with opportunities to attend seminars and talls from pineers in the pharma field both national and international.

What I didn’t like

Placement cell is not so good as they claim.
Living expenses and Miscellaneous expenses are very high.

Placement Experience:

Good companies like IQVIA, Cipla, Sun pharma etc do provide career opportunity as trainee in their institutions. Apolo pharmacy, Aster pharmacy, reliance pharmacy and retail pharmacy units also provide jobs. Hospitals and other community pharmacies provide job opportunities. Medical writing. Clinical trial companies also enables intake of students.

Internships Opportunities:

I did opt for internship but it's disappointing to find the good companies don't come up for placement drives. Training for soft skills and logical reasoning is provided but is not taken seriously. The placement cell is highly disorganized and mismanaged.

What I Liked

I love our sports room Faculties are completely approachable.
Campus life is a bit boring if staying at hostel. Hostel is pretty strict.

What I didn’t like

It is very hot during summer time and they won’t provide Ac or enough fans.
Hostel is really strict and they don’t care about students feelings.

Placement Experience:

We have to do internship at 6th year and it can be done at Amrita Hospital itself. They will give us stipends. Companies like Cipla is recruiting. If we want we can continue at Amrita Hospital for further years .

Internships Opportunities:

I had done my practical hours in a Pharmacy. Mandatory 150 hours we have to do during our 2nd year and 3rd year University holidays. I stood at a hospital pharmacy. We can chose anywhere we want and after that we have to present.

THE BEST FOR ACADEMICS

What I Liked

Hospital : The collage has its own multispeciality hospital which one of the top hospital in India. The hospital provides all the facilities for the students to achieve their goal.
Faculty: The collage has well qualified facilities with min experience of 3years . It is their immense support and guidance that made us to achieve our goals.

What I didn’t like

Amrita is the best collage for academics but not for campus life. The collage is more focuses to academics and improvingstudents professionally.
Hostel and food : The hostel rules are separate for boys and girls. The girls hostel is very very strict with changing rules everyday . The food menu and quality is very poor. Students got many health issues due to the poor quality foods especial girls.

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunity for Pharm D programe is less compared to B pharm. The placement has been increased by 25% for B pharm and declining for pharm D in 2022 with median average package of 4LPAfor pharm D. The top recruiting companies for pharm D include Tata Consultancy, indegene, KIMS etc.

Internships Opportunities:

The pharm D course is for 6year with 5 year collage and 1 year internship programe . So it is mandatory for students to complete an internship in the 6th year in the hospital. The hospital provides all the facilities for practicing as an intern. Also practical training starts from 4rth itself . Every student of pharmD has to publish a research paper or a review article within the 6years for getting the degree certificate .
