What I Liked

Campus is full of lush greenery which gives a really soothing and peaceful vibe.
The campus has basketball and badminton courts within along with library and canteen.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Chose this course because I wanted to be a doctor. Faculty contains vareity of professors including JRs, SRs, Assistant Prof. And HOD themselves. With a lot of different educational qualification with MBBS as base. MD/MS as PG. And further more by the higher faculties. Exams took place after every 3 months. Including vivas, stage, ward leave and tutorials in between.

Remarks:

1. Old and experienced faculty 2. Huge campus 3. Hospital with good patient load for more hands on learning. 4. Near to my house. There was only NEET exam for the admission in this college. Followed by counselling by AMRU Ner Chowk. No such interviews or discussions were followed.

RPGMC, an honest review

What I Liked

The campus is one of its own, not found in most colleges, with an equal balance to studies and sports
The faculty is highly experienced in each department, with good guidance and personal mentorship

What I didn’t like

The location may seem a bit secluded to people coming from metropolitan areas.
The weather isn't as expected to be in Himachal, it is much warmer than thought to be.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For all the aspiring doctors, the college has a great pool of professors who have been in the game for a long time, along with senior and junior residents, they are all MDs or specialists and are well-versed in their subjects. There are 4 years with final exams, and 2 term examinations each year. The final exams are conducted by AMRU, the umbrella University. The fee is 50,000 per year excluding hostel and examination fees (adds up to around 40000 more)

Remarks:

Admission is via NEET examination, the cutoff is quite high for all government colleges, and this is quite a good one. Closing at around 650 (All India- Gen), it is one of the top colleges to do MBBS from in Himachal Pradesh or North India itself. It has a great clinical reputation, adequate spaces, campus, sports, and tuition facilities, and is worth it once you're here.

Genuine Review of DrRPGMC Tanda, HP

What I Liked

Infrastructure is very good as most other colleges do not even have campus in himachal pradesh. Faculty depends on the departments. Some departments are chill and do not bother students while some bother a lot.
Campus life is good as people are separated in different groups like naati group, bhangra group etc on the basis of what they performed on freshers.

What I didn’t like

Some departments put extra pressure on completion of attendance and assessment which bother people like me who want to enjoy college life.
Sometimes management is tricky and not provides funds for necessary sports activities. Though this may change in future, hopefully.

Placement Experience:

The government does not offer jobs now, but private jobs are abundant which pay between 30k to 70k per month. However, people opt for preparation for the graduation exam (neet pg) which may change to the next exam in the future. The internship is organized by the college itself and a stipend of ?20k per month is given to interns for a year.

Remarks:

NEET( national eligibility cum entrance test) conducted by NTA( national testing agency) is compulsory for this college. State quota and national quota eligibility marks vary. The seat is easy to get through state quota comparatively.

The student in need

What I Liked

Campuses quite begin size so you can Rome around and it has very as locations around it like the dhauladhar range of mountains ahead.
Infrastructure of the colleges also good we have many hospitals which are well equipped we have a super speciality block and a new pediatric hospital also coming.

What I didn’t like

Due to opening a various hospitals it became quite congested recently.
Faculties are same everywhere around the country they will only play a presentation on the board and you will have to read that subject or topic by yourself.

Placement Experience:

There are no placements and MBBS as everyone knows you do the MBBS get your degree and find a job by yourself. You can get a government job in the same college if you qualifier exam which is held every year by the government of Himachal Pradesh and you will get a job as a medical officer.

Remarks:

In NEET 2021 I got a rank of 5570 so I thought I would get college anywhere but to my surprise, the competition was very fierce and I was a dropper so I didn't want to waste more time. I am a resident of Haryana and the Haryana govt had a 5 - year bond policy after MBBS so I thought rather than doing MBBS from there and fulfilling the bond afterward I could do it from Himachal Pradesh. Here, there is no bond after MBBS and you are free to do whatever you want after completion of your 5.5 years of course. The ranking of Dr. Rpgmc Tanda was also satisfactory So I thought why not do it at this college itself? These were the sole reasons I chose Dr. Rpgmc Tanda. There were no interviews or tests but there is a medical examination to find if you are fit to join the degree or not.
