Likes
- Infrastructure is very good as most other colleges do not even have campus in himachal pradesh. Faculty depends on the departments. Some departments are chill and do not bother students while some bother a lot.
- Campus life is good as people are separated in different groups like naati group, bhangra group etc on the basis of what they performed on freshers.
Dislikes
- Some departments put extra pressure on completion of attendance and assessment which bother people like me who want to enjoy college life.
- Sometimes management is tricky and not provides funds for necessary sports activities. Though this may change in future, hopefully.
Remarks :
NEET( national eligibility cum entrance test) conducted by NTA( national testing agency) is compulsory for this college. State quota and national quota eligibility marks vary. The seat is easy to get through state quota comparatively.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because MBBS is the best thing a person can do if he has studied biology in 11th and 12th classes. Teachers are well qualified, as they are all doctors and working actively in hospitals. However, some nonclinical departments have nondoctor people which is common in medical colleges. Clinical doctors teach in a way that you will be clinically compatible enough to handle patients. But some nonclinical departments put unnecessary extra pressure on students which is avoided in other state medical colleges. Fees are genuine as it's 70 to 80 thousand annually including hostels.
Internships Opportunities :
A paid internship with a stipend of 20k per month is organized by the college. It includes posting in every department of the college and is a great source of learning. It also includes posting in peripheral primary health care centers (PHCs) which makes a doctor-compatible
Placement Experience :
The government does not offer jobs now, but private jobs are abundant which pay between 30k to 70k per month. However, people opt for preparation for the graduation exam (neet pg) which may change to the next exam in the future. The internship is organized by the college itself and a stipend of ?20k per month is given to interns for a year.
Campus Life :
The college organizes different fests yearly and is equipped with unlimited free wifi for every student. Though some websites are not accessible with wifi, all can be used with a VPN. Connexus - the flagship fest of dr rpgmc Tanda is organized in August (the month may change due to weather conditions), freshers and Farewell are other major fests that are also organized yearly. Holi, connexus, freshers, and farewell all include DJ nights also. Badminton courts are present abundantly. 3 courts are open while there is also an indoor court only for girls. College does not have clubs though nati, bhangra, skit and western are the things which people are involved in different fests and thus groups are made according to that.

Placements are decent. Eligibility is typically at CGPA 6.0 or higher. Recruiters include TCS, Infosys ,Oracle, Wellsfargo etc.Highest package this year reached around 3 crores per annum as it was a foreign offer.
