- Execellent infastructure the equipments in labs are mainted and upto the mark.

- Mess food can be repititive sometimes and lack taste and variety.
- Limited public transport and connectivity issue outside campus.
Remarks :
I chose this college for its strong academics , good placements, and campus life. Admission was via jee mains. No GI/PD just rank based cutoffs. Good: labs, infrastructure faculty. Bad: hostel food options. Prepared via jee mock tests and coaching center materials.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I actually chose this course as i have interest in finance and quant and also programming. This branch kinda takes the mathematical modelling aspect of things too so yes and also i actually like maths. Exams were 2 times in a semester and they were moderately tough as the emphasis was on understanding not route learning.
Internships Opportunities :
I opted for internships during summer holidays this year. Companies like TCS,Infosys offered roles in software develipment with stipends of 15k-30k rupees.Projects include financial modelling, Algorithm design and coding tasks.
Placement Experience :
Placements are decent. Eligibility is typically at CGPA 6.0 or higher. Recruiters include TCS, Infosys ,Oracle, Wellsfargo etc.Highest package this year reached around 3 crores per annum as it was a foreign offer.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
At Nit hamirpur the yearly btech fees for general category students including hostel lab tuition etc is 1.5 lakh rupees and sc/st pay less around 50k and obc around 80k. Scholarships like kalpana chawla scheme helps needy students with hostel, tuition etc costs.
Campus Life :
Well balanced between academics and social activities. The campus has good infra with classes equipped with projectors smart boards and functional labs.Library is also well stocked with textbooks, reference books and other books too. The cultural fest is hillfair conducted in november and technical fest nimbus conducted in March. Sports and other extracurriculars are on high support as the existence of clubs are encouraged and supported. Site of team iste is by our student club.
Hostel Facilities :
I opted for the hostel. Rooms are well mainted with furnitures like almirah and network facility is also available(ethernet). Mess offeres decent food with both veg/non-veg options as menu varies daily.Hostel registration is manual method but priority is given to first year students.

placement are good many cse students have package in crores i think cse nad ece branch is good but other branch package is around 10 lakh if i would suggest students i suggest go for cse or ece branch because in the era of artificial intelligence nad machine learning these two branches are booming and the package are also best in these branches you can also try for gate exam after the civil mechanical or electrical you can get jib in public plus private jobs

The placement opportunities are given by institute. There is a placement committee. A few visited recruiters are ICICI,HDFC, DE Shaw, Deloitte, EY, etc. the average package of IIM sirmaur ranges around 14-15 LPA. All students get placed and is supported by institute.
