Course Curriculum Overview:

This is a professional course. Professors won't be teaching everything. It's our duty to study and ask doubts with the professors We have good classrooms and labs It's an 100 year old reputed college There are so many good faculties But still some faculties are not that good in teaching

Remarks:

I got a rank of 25k+ in NEET exam and got selected through karnataka state counselling I chose this college because it's my home town Cutoff is a bit high I got the seat in the third round oth the counselling

MMCRI : The Dream of every medico in Karnataka

What I Liked

In Mysore Medical College more number of cultural activities are conducted by our seniors so we are regularly participating in co curricular activities. Various medical conference are conducted by the lecturers and the Doctors association.
Our College is First College to be established in Karnataka. It is completing it 100th year . It has good reputation. Faculties are good and help us in any difficulties.They also conduct small programmes where we participate.Its so much fun . MMCRI is Every medicos dream in Karnataka.

What I didn’t like

As college is completing its 100 years it's under renovation. Introducing technology is necessary. Seatings should be replacing which are old now .It's being painted and tiled . Funding from government should be increased to improve the infrastructure.
Our college don't have a big campus . College, Hospital , Auditorium , Ground are separated from the public roads .Hostel for boys is 5 km away althoughCollege bus is there bus if we miss it it takes about 1 hour to reach by local bus. Our labs are old instruments should be replaced in this era of technology. No WiFi is present in the campus . Canteen has been stopped . In Reading halls new table and chair should be provided.

Placement Experience:

After the MBBS course, we have to do a 1-year internship in the KR Hospital, the stipend amount is about 30000 per month. After 1 year rural service has to be made where we get our salary from the local hospital. After that, we can open our private clinic do a job in hospital or Qualify for NEET PG for post-graduation. On average, a PG student gets a salary from the government. After that, we join as lecturers in the medical colleges or continue as a practitioner. Earnings increase with our experiences and the degree that we hold.

Remarks:

The College is 100 years old and has a good reputation for producing several talented doctors. The teachers are well qualified with MD in their subjects. The College is old so is under renovation. Labs are old. Admission is through qualifying NEET UG I scored 637 out of 720, and I got a seat under the 2A General quota through KEA UG NEET counselling. At least 650 is required for people in the General category. There is no such personal interview during admission. Counselling is through an online process which takes about 1 month in Karnataka. I got selected in the first round. Necessary documents are required for document verification before counselling in the Tehsildar office and also during admission. I paid 60100 to hold my seat in the college and 7700 during admission additional 5000 rupees should be paid for University Examination fees.

What I Liked

The old buildings Faculty is student friendly My life is absolutely fine

Placement Experience:

After an MBBS internship, there are plenty of opportunities but the thing is that we need to study hard to crack NEET PG/ NXT I don't know what will happen for our batch I plan to crack NEET PG either taking 1-year drop and I will go through surgery

Remarks:

Since the college is started 100 years ago the faculty will be experienced and student-friendly so I chose this collage also Mysore environment is so peaceful and there are many places to visit in Mysore The college is absolutely fine The admission process is through the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) . Cut-off may vary from year to year but as of last year it is 650/720 in the exam

BEST PLACE TO BECOME A DOCTOR

What I Liked

Postings teaching is best students are encouraged in all co curricular activities
Hostel facility is very good classroom are good with opening of new building

What I didn’t like

The hostel and college is far around 5 km which makes it difficult to travel
Now with the retirement of senior professors there is a lack of some department faculty

Placement Experience:

365 days of compulsory internship is there for all students in K R hospital there are other hospitals like TRAUMA CARE CENTER PKTB SUPER SPECIALITY HOSPITALS JAYADEVA CARDIOLOGY tied to MMC so we get to see all sorts of patients

I always wanted to get into MMC as it was the best college outside Bangalore It is also the first medical college of Karnataka so it has a lot of heritage and legacy with it I had asked many people before joining and everyone recommended MMC

One of the finest colleges in India

What I Liked

Faculty is brilliant. Couldn't ask for better teachers.
College life is amazing, can't imagine another college being this good.

What I didn’t like

Some classrooms aren't too great to sit in
If you're not a native speaker of Kannada, you might find it hard to fit in initially

Placement Experience:

We get to work as interns in the attached KR Hospital for a year, rotating through the different departments and receiving exposure equally, training us to become competent MBBS doctors as well as providing clarity on our future choices. Plenty of opportunities during an internship to learn provided one grabs them.

Remarks:

A very prestigious college, now in its centenary year which is a massive accomplishment only a few colleges in the country can boast of. Based on my rank this was the best college I got via state quota and I went for it without hesitation after reading similar online reviews and hearing from others.

MYSORE MEDICAL COLLEGE

What I Liked

its a very old college with a good infrastructure , good classrooms.
best faculty in karnataka. cmapus is larger and with full of trees.

What I didn’t like

colleg building is very old. too loud bcz its near mainroad.
too noisy with the vehicles around. needs to ilmply some rools.

Placement Experience:

after compleeting 4 years of study we ahve to go fir 1 year of internship for which there will a stifund.. after that we can apply for any govenment hospital jobs. so many studentds from this college are now in AIIMS DELHI and abroad. i want to join AIIMS DELHI after my degree.

Remarks:

Mysore medical college and research institute is 2nd most top government medical college in the karnataka state. i had a dream of becoming a doctor since my childhood. so i got into science in my puc and i toook PCMB. then i prepared for the exam called NEET which is very essential for the admisiion to any medical ccollege. after my hardwork i got a very good rank and applied for counselling process for admission; 1]take PCMB in puc 2] take neet coaching or self preparation 3]give NEET exam 4] give 1st preference to MMCRI Mysore during the counselling. 5] get admission to college.

The beauty of MMC and RI

What I Liked

The college campus and the hospital infrastructure.
The teaching faculty are having the high experience in the teaching.

What I didn’t like

There is nothing so bad to be disliked in our campus.
In the beginning days we may get little difficulty to get settled.

Placement Experience:

Many students who are all graduated from here are very well settled. As our college is the professional college, we get the job for 100% and no doubt in that. Many of the students are also settled in the abroad.

Remarks:

The medical facilities available here for medical education is best. The attached hospital is having too much prestige. And I got admission here through NEET entrance exam. The hostel facility is available for boys and girls in nearby location.
