MBBS Eligibility and Qualifying Percentiles

Applicants must meet the National Medical Commission (NMC) rules for school subjects, marks and age. Admission through Maharashtra's state quota also requires domicile proof.

• Applicants must be at least 17 years old on December 31, 2026.
• Class 12 must include Physics, Chemistry and Biology as separate subjects. A combined or composite score does not meet this subject requirement.
• English must also be a Class 12 subject.

Seat Allocation and MBBS Cutoffs

Only NEET UG merit determines MBBS allotment. Class 12 board marks, interviews and college tests receive no selection weightage. The applicable merit rank decides the allotment pool and counselling round.

• MCC uses the national AIR to allocate AIQ seats.
• For state seats, Maharashtra State CET Cell prepares and uses the Maharashtra NEET merit rank.
• Maharashtra government reservation rules apply to SC, ST, VJ/NT, OBC, EWS and PwD applicants in the state quota.

MBBS Counselling and Admission Steps

For the 2026-27 intake, students must use the official counselling systems rather than submit a direct college application.

• Take NEET UG 2026 and secure an All India Rank.
• For AIQ admission, complete registration at mcc.nic.in.
• Maharashtra domicile holders seeking state seats must register separately at cetcell.mahacet.org.
• Arrange college choices by preference, add Seth GS Medical College and lock the list within the permitted time.
• Once allotments are announced, obtain the allotment letter from the portal used for counselling.
• Visit the college with original certificates for document verification.
• Complete the compulsory bond paperwork and pay the prescribed charges to secure admission.

Carry the NEET UG 2026 scorecard and admit card, Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets, transfer and migration certificates, photo identification and passport-size photographs. Bring a category certificate where applicable. State quota applicants must also carry their domicile or nativity certificate.

Before accepting the seat, read both MBBS bonds carefully. One requires 1 year of rural or government service after internship and imposes a non-refundable INR 10 lakh penalty for failure to serve. The other restricts overseas travel for 5 years after the MBBS degree date, with a separate non-refundable INR 10 lakh penalty. Both obligations must be signed before seat acceptance is confirmed.

Undergraduate Allied Health Courses

Allied health admissions at the KEM campus follow programme-specific rules and are separate from MBBS and postgraduate medical admissions. Maharashtra State CET Cell conducts counselling for the undergraduate courses below.

Seth GS Medical College PG Admission 2026: MD/MS and Allied Health

NEET PG merit is the basis for admission to 280 MD/MS seats in 21 clinical and para-clinical disciplines. These seats are divided into equal shares: MCC allocates the 50% AIQ, and Maharashtra State CET Cell allocates the remaining 50% state quota.

MD/MS Entry Requirements

Students must hold an eligible MBBS degree, meet the NEET PG qualifying requirement and finish the compulsory rotating internship before joining.

• A valid registration with NMC or the relevant State Medical Council is necessary.
• Applicants with a foreign medical degree must obtain an NMC Eligibility Certificate before applying.

MD/MS Allotment and Previous Cutoffs

Neither MBBS marks nor an interview or separate merit test contributes to MD/MS selection. Counselling uses NEET PG rank alone.

• Use the NBEMS examination process at natboard.edu.in, take NEET PG 2026 and obtain a qualifying rank.
• Complete MCC registration during the notified window to compete for AIQ seats.
• Submit a separate Maharashtra State CET Cell registration for the 50% state quota.

Seth GS Medical College DM/MCh Superspecialty Admission 2026

MCC fills all 60 superspecialty seats through NEET SS. The college is not an Institute of National Importance (INI), so it does not conduct a separate institutional counselling process. Its 17 disciplines include Cardiology, Neurology, Nephrology, Neurosurgery and Surgical Gastroenterology.

Qualifications for DM and MCh

• Applicants must secure a valid NEET SS 2026 score above the qualifying cutoff.
• A DNB qualification in the relevant parent specialty also permits a student to appear for NEET SS.

Superspecialty Selection and Cutoffs

NEET SS merit rank determines MCC allotment for every DM and MCh seat. For General category AIQ applicants in 2025, DM closing ranks ranged from 28 in the most competitive branch to 1,623. The MCh range was 113 for M.Ch Surgical Gastroenterology to 3,995. Refer to mcc.nic.in for the current cycle's cutoffs after the result. Academic commencement follows the MUHS calendar.

DM/MCh Admission Route

Register for superspecialty counselling only through MCC. The college has no separate DM/MCh counselling, state quota allotment or institutional seat allocation. Do not make a payment or accept a seat offer through another source.

Seth GS Medical College Diploma Admission 2026

PG-DMLT follows an institution-level admission process. Its requirements and application route are separate from the centralised MBBS and postgraduate medical counselling processes.

Seth GS Medical College Scholarships and Internship Stipends

The college does not provide direct institutional scholarships. Eligible students can seek Maharashtra government and central government support, with category and household income determining access to the schemes.

• Maharashtra Government Post-Matric Scholarship: SC, ST, VJ/NT, OBC, SBC and SEBC students may receive full or partial tuition relief through MAHADBT. Submit the application after admission is confirmed.
• EWS Freeship Card: Maharashtra students from economically weaker sections can claim a MAHADBT fee concession if annual income is below INR 8 lakh.

During the compulsory 1-year rotating internship, MBBS interns receive INR 11,000 per month. A further INR 70,000 stipend is paid for the mandatory rural posting component. Training takes place at KEM Hospital and its associated rural centres.
