Terna Medical College Admission Process

MBBS Admission

A valid NEET UG score is compulsory for MBBS selection. Terna Medical College neither holds a separate entrance examination nor conducts a personal interview. Maharashtra CET Cell counselling allocates state quota seats, while MCC counselling covers All India Quota seats.

Students must meet these MBBS eligibility conditions:

• Pass 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects.
• Secure at least 50% aggregate marks in PCB under the General category or 40% for SC, ST, and OBC reserved categories.
• Be at least 17 years old by December 31 of the admission year.

The Maharashtra state quota selection process follows these stages:

• Qualify for NEET UG and receive the examination score.
• Complete registration through the MHT-CET Cell portal.
• Attend document verification at an assigned facilitation centre.

MD/MS Admission

NEET PG performance decides admission to the MD and MS programmes. MUHS, Nashik, assigns the 50% Maharashtra state quota through state PG medical counselling. Applicants for MD/MS must satisfy the following requirements:

Terna Medical College Placements and Career Outcomes

The college does not follow the regular campus placement model used by non-medical institutions. MBBS graduates generally continue along the career routes followed by students from other NMC-recognised private medical colleges. The most common option is to qualify for NEET PG and enter an MD, MS, or PG Diploma programme.

Students complete their compulsory one-year rotating internship at Terna Speciality Hospital and Research Centre. Clinical training is available through General Medicine, Paediatrics, Surgery, Obstetrics, Orthopaedics, Psychiatry, and Emergency Medicine departments. This exposure also supports preparation for NEET PG.

Other graduates may take the MPSC Medical Officer examination to join Maharashtra State Health Services. They can also seek roles in corporate or private hospitals across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. A smaller group enters the Armed Forces Medical Corps through Short Service Commission selection.

Terna Medical College Campus and Infrastructure

The built-up campus of Terna Medical College is situated at Sector 12, Phase II, Nerul (West), Navi Mumbai. Its attached Terna Speciality Hospital and Research Centre has more than 680 beds. It provides the main clinical training setting for students from every MBBS and postgraduate department.

Academic facilities include lecture halls with the required equipment, an anatomy dissection hall, laboratories for physiology and biochemistry, and a clinical skills training centre. The library collection contains 8,252 books, 67 Indian journals, and 20 foreign journals. Students can also use an e-library equipped with 40 computers and continuous internet connectivity.

Men and women have separate on-campus hostels. The boys’ hostel has room for 189 students, while the girls’ hostel can house 186 students. Both hostels provide warm water throughout the day, recreation rooms, and canteens offering vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The campus also has sports grounds, a gymnasium, and an auditorium.
