What I Liked

I like most about the college is its beautiful and peaceful campus atmosphere. The campus has good facilities. Sports ground, bascketball Court and cafe and canteen are there. Arts,sports and college program are enjoyable especially the night programs. For college programs film star's are often invited as special guest. The college conducts exhibition as part of the events and celebration. The faculity members are friendly and regularly conducts class test and model exam and model viva to help students prepare for their studies and university examination

The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced

Remarks:

I got admission to the college through the management quota. To be eligible for a management seat students need to score more than 75% marks in their plus two examination. Attend to interview

Fruitful experience in medical college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good . Internships program are also good. You get a good amount of stipend in your intern year . After passing out from your graduation you can also apply for both clinical and non clinical subjects for the pg in college itself. There are pg program available for all most all subjects

Remarks:

The entrance exam for any medical college is the neet exam. So because of high cut off I could not get any government medical college. Moving to the private colleges this was my first college in the choice filling because of peaceful and affordable environment

The food here is not that great apart from that almost everything is good

Placement Experience:

Placements and medical colleges have no connection.But the quality of teaching and the clinical experience you get from this hospital can help you secure a good job in a good hospital. Even as first years clinical exposure is present

Remarks:

Good aspects - academics are nice, gives priority to extracurricular activities, spacious playground, basketball ground, badminton court, free gym, swimming pool, strong anti ragging committee Bad aspects- the food is not bad but not good as well, senior junior hierarchy

What I Liked

Onam celebrations, college day, graduation ceremony.... everything is a vibe.
Very good faculties, cool PGs and SRs...g cafe...❤️

What I didn’t like

Time restriction in hostel...Students have to enter before 9pm.
Very low stipend. It's only ₹7,000/month.

Placement Experience:

The total duration of the course is 5.5 years (4.5 year class + 1 year of compulsory internship). After that, you should get registered in tcmc for practising in Kerala. Then , you can start your career as JR or MO in any hospital.

Remarks:

Sree gokulam medical College is a private institute with good patient load and facilities. Admission is based on the rank secured in neet-ug. Usually, the cut off state rank for merit quota is 2500-3000 (general category).

Medical life in SGMC&RF

What I Liked

Infrastructure is good and there's freedom for the students to learn and explore in different fields.
The faculty are really experienced and they motivate us constantly to study so that we can excel in the field of medicine

What I didn’t like

The campus is a bit far from the city, it takes around 30-45 mins to reach the city
For chilling and relaxing, you have to travel around 1 hour which wastes a lot of time and drains you physically

Placement Experience:

There's an internship of 1 year after 4.5 years of course study in mbbs which is done in the hospital associated with the medical College The hospital is build in our campus itself and has enough patients for us to learn.

Remarks:

I gave NEET-UG Examination for my mbbs admission. I scored 572 and got an AIR 35k. I took admission in this college due to its good infrastructure, brilliant faculty and overall atmosphere of students seeking excellence. The patient flow is ample which helps us to learn clinical cases in a better way.

Gokulam Medical College Review

What I Liked

Very scenic campus with a viewpoint inside. The paid canteens are great especially for non veg options . Latge football ground , badminton and volleyball court , indoor table tennis and carroms , swimming pool , gym and basketball court.Hospital is actually upto international standards.College administration is actually lenient and open minded about student life.Campus doesn't discriminate and gives equal respect to all identities. There is even a Samathwa community to give equal rights to all genders and inclusive of lgbt communities. There are many student run communities ...suxh as jeevan for blood donation and thanal for geriatric and social care ..members of which take immense efforts towards their goals.there are so many events in a year ..we do need to pay 15000 rs at the beginning of our first year for this.One of the best performing private colleges in inter college fests and sports especially football
Food in the mess is generally good the good thing is its all fresh made from a large in campus factory type kitchen and milk is from the cowshed in the campus itself.Faculties are highly qualified...there is good support for mental health as well.so many grievance regressal related people are available.No huge ragging issues.

What I didn’t like

Academic life is extremely stressful and takes a toll on your mental health.faculties are not always good at teaching and exam stress WILL eat you GUARANTEED. There will be enough guidance but most of the time students will be left alone but thats the truth of the course we have to fend for ourselves. There are widespread rumors of use of illicit substances but we can effectively stay away from it. Note that this is the case in all government colleges too but just keep on mind it is there here too.
The campus is a bit big and we need to walk from a to b this is relatable to all medical colleges but still is an inconvenience. We cannot bring vehicles until final year this is a horrible rule. It is located 3 km from main junctin so you need to spend 70 rs everything you get it off the campus. A huge disadvantage is there is very little leave days for all festivals which makes life a lot harder.

Placement Experience:

MBBS is not a placement based course ,once you are done you are a free bird with tons of options for further future plans. We can directly join for jobs right after mbbs as tutors in this college itself ir as junior residents in govt colleges or start your own practice ..practice with only this degree is not extremely feasible but also not impossible.most people aim to write further exams to get PG seats in India and abroad. My plans after getting degree would ne to attempr both NEET PG/NEXT exam and PLAB exam.

Remarks:

Comes in the list of better colleges among private self financing medical colleges in kerala. Very good focus on extracurriculars and comparatively less strict management...gives a proper college atmosphere Slightly less fees compared to most other private colleges. Campus is amazing. Around 520-560 marks in neet can get you a seat here. No other written tests ....there might be a nominal interview with the principal. It's a huge hospital with decent patient flow. Especially good football team made me lean towards my decision. Food is a little better but the mess rules are confusing. Hostel problems get sorted quickly. Admission process is same as other colleges ..its a bit hectic but we'll have all instructions in advance just come with the proper documents. The location isnt exactly middle of city but is okayish. A small negative is the inconvenience of how much we need to walk daily especially in hostel there are no lifts..we have to climb 7 floors for first year students.
