Life at Sahyadri as a Fresher ?

What I Liked

I like the campus it gives off a modern yet traditional vibe which makes really comfortable
I like the campus life we aren’t that stressed always but we do study at the times of study . EVERYTHING IS BALANCED

What I didn’t like

I don’t prefer the washrooms in college , although it’s important to keep them nice and clean there are small number of it so that could be improved
Our college is huge and we have stairs , a lot in that case so climbing them daily especially when labs are conducted on the top floor , but even after that we have labs only 2 times a week so that can me managed

I chose this course so that I could learn more about the subject I am interested about . Computer Science is a subject that I treat as learning a language which I love to speak in . About the faculty they are amazing , the teachers are really helping , some teachers teach in a certain way that sometimes we couldn’t understand yet it’s manageable We had internal exams every month and they were fine

Sahyadri engineering college one of the best in manglore

What I Liked

Faculty members are really good, particularly from mechanical department
Campus Life is also pretty good here, but not so exceptional

What I didn’t like

I don't like the infrastructure of our college
Even I don't like the fact that they are taking fees for placement training as many college provide it for free

1 year is cmmon for all branches they only teach basic science and once we will enter the core branches the subjects related to our respective branches are taught, and all the faculty in every branch is well experienced and very cooperative but still there are some exceptions

The campus is small compared to other colleges.
Faculties are okay , the only problem is they keep on reading the PPT.

College is located in the outskirts of the city

What I Liked

The location and the infrastructure and the atmosphere as it's far from city so no noise pollution and great for concentration as v are surrounded by nature
Placement opportunities as it is the main thing we look into after v get assigned to a college

What I didn’t like

The journey time in the morning take a toll on us and it's kind of difficult for us to travel for any urgency
The timings of the college is also tiring and drains out the stamina of all the students

My Point of view of Sahyadri college of engineering and management

What I Liked

The campus is really beautiful. Faculties are nice and welcoming.
It has a cafeteria that has wide options of food to choose from and also comfortable seating.

What I didn’t like

The college does not allow students to use lift. Sometimes the admission officers and student welfare officer can be rude to the students.
For any kind of approval by the principal such as a signature they take really long.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason I chose this course is it is an emerging sector in India and already flourished in other countries. It has a lot scope and competition is also really less since not many people have graduated with this degree. Also, the degree is versatile since it has 3 core subjects ie; computer science, electronics and mechanical. There are three exams conducted during a semester which lasts for 3 to 3 and 1/2 months called internals which are then called off by semester examinations. The fee has increased exponentially due to demand for the course. However, scholarship schemes are provided by colleges like NSP and SSP (national and state).

What I Liked

The campus is wide and it has two big grounds and one ground floor cricket. Another ground floor football and the other ground for volleyball and the college itself. Have a lot of study place where you can sit and study and the environment in the college is good.

The college rules are kind of strict that you have to reach at 8:40 and you have to wear ID in the first year you have uniforms that’s all
and if you come in vehicles that they will check, they will call your parents and make sure that that they know that you’re coming to college in vehicle

The faculties are good. They are experience and they teach us very well and they teach us through practical thing. So we will understand it properly so faculty say Sahyadri are best of the best. and they are well experienced so they can lead you in a right way.

What I Liked

I like some teaching facilities and campus.
The labs are in good condition except few not working computers.

Think before you opt.

What I Liked

Infrastructure is good from outide. Surrounding is good. Ground floor and first floor are well maintained usually.

What I didn’t like

Classrooms are below average. Cannot sustain during summer season. Forget about class rooms even labs do not have AC except cad lab. Seminar halls are air conditioned but they switch it on once in a blue moon. Whenever a guest from outside take some sessions. Not preference for students.

Curriculum is good. But we have 3 internal exams. Faculties are average that too selected once. From 2 year its below expectations as reviewed by our seniors. Scholarships are available but takes much time and usually its taken by reservation people as usual. Fees structure is similar to other kcet colleges.
