National Institute of Virology or NIV is a National level Institute run by Government and is located in Maharashtra, Pune. This esteemed institute was established in 1952 and offers courses like M.Sc and PhD. Admission is done on the basis of the student’s Graduation percentage. Ques1. Who is eligible for NIV PhD?

Ans. The student must have a Postgraduate degree in any branch of Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/Health Sciences with at least 55-60% or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA).

Ques2. How can I get admission to NIV Pune for MSC virology?

Ans. A total of 20 students, plus 4 over and above the age of admission are enrolled in the virology program. The SPPU conducts pan India level Online Entrance Examination (OEE) in June every year for admission of students to M.Sc.

Ans. The required minimum qualification for admission to a Ph. D program normally consists of a two-year master's degree in ORM.
