FORE School of Management Admission Process

Applicants to any full-time PGDM course are assessed through several stages. An accepted CAT, XAT or GMAT score contributes 35% to the final result, while the Personal Interview carries 30%.

PGDM and All Full-Time PGDM Specialisations

Applicants must meet these conditions for each of the five full-time PGDM programmes:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in any subject with at least 50% aggregate marks.
  • Have a valid CAT, XAT or GMAT score.
  • Students in the final year of graduation may submit a provisional application.

The selection procedure takes place in the following order:

  • Stage 1: FSM prepares a shortlist using entrance test performance and the applicant’s academic record.
  • Stage 2: Shortlisted applicants complete a Business Quiz and Written Ability Test (WAT) on the selection day.
  • Stage 3: Each applicant gives an extempore presentation.
  • Stage 4: FSM faculty members and industry professionals conduct the Personal Interview.

The merit calculation assigns 35% to the entrance examination, 30% to the Personal Interview, 10% each to work experience, earlier academic performance and the extempore, and 5% to diversity. General Category applicants usually need a CAT percentile of 85 or above. The typical XAT requirement is 87+ percentile, while the GMAT benchmark is 650 or higher.
