Goa Institute of Management (GIM) was established in 1993 as an independent institute in North Goa. It is recognized by AIU and approved by AICTE.

GIM offers 2-year full-time PGDM courses in healthcare management, Banking, Insurance, Financial Services, and Big Data Analytics as its flagship program. It also offers an International Double Degree in Analytics (IDA) and FPM in the fields of Accounting, Big Data Analytics, Economics, and Human Resource Management.

Candidates are selected via their merit in the CAT entrance. Apart from CAT/ valid scores in either XAT/ GMAT/ CMAT are also accepted for the PGDM program. The final selection for Goa Institute of Management will follow the candidates’ performance in the interview round. GAAT exam scores are accepted for admission into IDA and PGDM Data analytics programs.

GIM PGDM and IDA Eligibility

  • To be eligible for admission, candidates must secure a minimum of 50% aggregate in Bachelor's Degree (45% in the case of reserved categories).

GIM PGDM and IDA Selection Criteria

  • The final selection will be based on the XAT 2025, CAT 2024, or GMAT exam taken between 1st January 2023 to 15th January 2025 for PGDM courses.
  • For PGDM Data Analytics and IDA courses admission, candidates must appear for the GIM Analytics Aptitude Test (GAAT).
  • For IDA- Candidates applying for the IDA program must submit a ‘Statement of Purpose’. They also need to appear for the following English Proficiency Exams-

i. TOEFL iBT- minimum score- 100 (TOEFL Code for GIM: D536)

ii. IELTS Academic minimum score - 7.0

iii. Cambridge English Proficiency Exam (CPE)- Minimum grade of C

iv. Cambridge English Advanced exam (CAE)- Minimum grade of B

GIM FPM Admission 2025

GIM offers FPM, which is a 4-year Research Program with a seat intake of 20. The area of research is in the fields of Accounting, Big Data Analytics, Economics, and Human Resource Management.

GIM FPM Admission Eligibility

  • To be eligible for admission, candidates must have a Master’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline with at least 60% marks.

GIM FPM Selection Criteria

  • Based on the Statement of the Purpose, research proposal, evaluation of past academic performance, research interest, and relevant work experience, candidates will be called for an interview for final selection. Interviews would be conducted online.

FAQs

Ques. Do I need to send exam (CAT/XAT) scores to GIM?

Ans. No. GIM does not accept exam scores from candidates. Scores are obtained from IIM and XLRI.

Ques. Is there any reservation or Management quota at GIM?

Ans. Admission to the Goa Institute of Management is strictly based on merit and no donation in any form is sought or accepted in connection with admission.

Ques. Are there any reservations for Goan candidates?

Ans. There are no reservations for Goan candidates, but for personal interview selection, the qualifying cut-off score of the competitive exam may be lowered by up to 15 points for candidates of Goan domicile/origin.

Ques. What is the minimum work experience required to apply? Can freshers apply?

Ans. Freshers are welcome to apply, as there is no mandatory minimum work experience required. The experience will be given weightage in evaluation, as per the policy of the institute.

Ques. What is signified by First Mover and Early Bird at the Goa Institute of Management?

Ans. There is a low cost for early applications in the Goa Institute of Management, and the application fee increases when the applications are submitted close to the deadline. These two are signified as First Mover and Early Bird, respectively.
