Average course carriculum, the syllabus are too old the languages that are in the syllabus are almost 10 years old, they are not updating the syllabus,only teaching what is in the book,logical thinking is not necessary.

I choose BCA because it field was evolving day by day and it is best to get a job in that field. Faculty in my college are well qualified and are selected based on exams and interviews. Teachers in my department have post-graduation and B-Ed qualification and some have PhD and doctorate as well. Teaching method especially in ny department is strict. It means academics has the top priority. Basically it is theory based sessions. Notes are seperately provided by the teachers other than those given from the classes. Practicals are given in the laboratory. Exams are conducted in timely basis normally an internal assessment and an external. There may be two internals as per the availability of time. Other than this assignment, seminars, attendence are important for internal marks. Practicals were provided at the right time in a scheduled manner. Exams are normally on an avergae level. It can be easy or can be tough . It is not very tough.

I chose this course, BSc Maths since I loved maths since my childhood. The teaching staff are all great except for a very few. The experienced ones are the issue. The young ones know how to teach but the older ones create doubts while the young ones clear them. Exams were all on time as it is Calicut University.
