Globsyn Business School (GBS) Provides several scholarships to meritorious students in academic and extra-curricular activities such as sports and arts. These scholarships are awarded to the students of post-graduate management programmes under National Scholarship programs (NSP). The main objective of the scholarships is to give financial relief to students coming from economically weaker sections so that they can pursue their education without worrying about tuition fees. The scholarships provided at GBS are as follows:\r\n\r\n\r\n

Bikram Dasgupta Foundation Scholarship\r\n\r\n

Kalyani Scholarship has been renamed to Bikram Dasgupta Foundation Scholarship. This Scholarship gives a 100% fee waiver (except admission fee) to students coming from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.\r\n\r\n

  • A total of 7 students can avail this scholarship.\r\n\t
  • Eligibility Criteria: Students who have excellent academic records and whose parents’ or guardians’ income is less than or equal to INR 8 LPA are eligible for this scholarship.\r\n\t
  • Academic Criteria: The required minimum academic qualifications and criteria are given below:\r\n\r\n\r\n

    Qualifying Aptitude Exam (CAT\/MAT etc)\r\n\t\t\t>= 80%ile\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\r\n\r\n\r\n

    • If students have other outstanding achievements, they will require submitting documentary proofs to prove eligibility.\r\n\t
    • Moreover, students who have been awarded the scholarship by GBS are required to maintain a CGPA >= 6.0 throughout the programme and also have to actively engage in extra-curricular activities of the Institute.\r\n\t
    • Every semester, the student's progress would be evaluated in order to determine whether to keep the fee waiver or not.\r\n\t
    • Administration of Fee Waiver: All the fee installments will be waived except the initial admission fee. If a student has already paid any installments, they will be refunded after the due date.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      Outstanding Achievers Scholarships\r\n\r\n
        \r\n\t
      • This scholarship is provided for students who have achieved recognition and excellence in sports or arts\/culture areas.\r\n\t
      • It is available for a total of 6 students; 3 each in the sports and arts area.\r\n\t
      • Students are awarded a scholarship amount of INR 1,00,000 each.\r\n\t
      • Eligibility Criteria: Students applying through sports should have achieved recognition at the State or National level from a reputable sports body or association in any outdoor or indoor sporting event.\r\n\t
          \r\n\t\t
        • Students in the arts area should have achieved recognition or excellence at the regional or national level from prominent bodies or associations in any areas such as Dance, Drama, Quiz, Debate, etc.\r\n\t\t
        • Apart from that, the income of Students’ parents or guardians should be as specified into ‘Parental Income Ceiling’, which is currently INR 8 lakhs per annum.\r\n\t\t
        • At the end of each semester, the performance of the student will be reviewed to consider the eligibility for partial fee relief.\r\n\t\r\n\t\r\n\t
        • Administration of Fee Waiver: There will be two phases of the fee waiver. The first 50% (INR 50,000) will be deducted from the penultimate installment, and the remaining 50% will be deducted from the last installment.\r\n\r\n","author":"877","updated_date_time":"2024-10-08 12:31:19","created_date_time":"2022-12-12 16:18:17"}
