Course Curriculum Overview:

My cource is mbbs. I m currently in 2nd year mbbs batch (2023 batch). My college faculties are bery helpfull and provide good education to us. We are clinically posted in hospital for training purpose .

Remarks:

I have clered national eligibility cum enyrance test neet and got alloted to karwar institute of medical sciences karwar in state quota with counceling with karnataka examination authority kea. General cutoff of this year is 636

Life of a student in KRIMS Karwar

What I Liked

Canteen Patient output beach is very near you can do treks
Beach nearby..goa nearby u can have a blast u will get bored by seeing beaches

What I didn’t like

Hospital infrastructure hospital hygiene is not at all good
Campus Life there is no campus at all Karwar weather is too bad very humid you will sweat whole day without doing any work also

Placement Experience:

As it is medical College u can't expect placement offers if u apply as junior resident in any hospital u will easily get a job without much roaming unemployment rate is much less in this course compared to other

Government College good OPD and ipd cheaper fee beach nearby you can enjoy nature very well Library is very very good administration is good news hospital and trauma centre is being built it will increase the infrastructure

KARWAR INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES : OVERVIEW:

What I Liked

The things that I like about our college are : 1) The beach that relieves your tension, the college gives pure Goa vibes and it is just 30 kms from GOA. 2) Outstanding professors that clear the concepts in a very concise manner. 3) Good senior junior interactions that lead to mutual growth and understanding. 4) Very strict rules for girls and safety for them, they are not allowed after 9 at night outside hostel. 5) Good Library to study well 6) Good hospital to study about and interact with patients.
HOSPITAL : This plays a major role in your MBBS life . You spend a lot of time in interacting with patient and studying them.

What I didn’t like

1) I don't like the mess food quality it is not that good always but sometimes like on Sunday feast will be organised.
2) The weather can be a negative point sometimes because of extreme heat during summer along with humidity. It also rains a lot on rainy season.

Placement Experience:

Doctors, unlike other professions, can run their own placements ( clinics ) or get posted in many hospitals saving numerous patients. The eligibility is that you have to pass all the exams. The package depends on which specialization they choose next. Like for example a neurosurgeon will be earning in crores per annum or a general physician that can earn around a lakh or more in his clinic.

Remarks:

Neet - UG exam should be written with qualifying marks above the counselling cutoff for the krims Karwar college which was around 50000 all india rank , I had rank of 50139. There are no interviews to get in. You need some government documents on the day of admission to get in which will be provided to you on the college's official website after the completion of your counselling.
