- The things that I like about our college are : 1) The beach that relieves your tension, the college gives pure Goa vibes and it is just 30 kms from GOA. 2) Outstanding professors that clear the concepts in a very concise manner. 3) Good senior junior interactions that lead to mutual growth and understanding. 4) Very strict rules for girls and safety for them, they are not allowed after 9 at night outside hostel. 5) Good Library to study well 6) Good hospital to study about and interact with patients.
- HOSPITAL : This plays a major role in your MBBS life . You spend a lot of time in interacting with patient and studying them.
Dislikes
- 1) I don't like the mess food quality it is not that good always but sometimes like on Sunday feast will be organised.
- 2) The weather can be a negative point sometimes because of extreme heat during summer along with humidity. It also rains a lot on rainy season.
Remarks :
Neet - UG exam should be written with qualifying marks above the counselling cutoff for the krims Karwar college which was around 50000 all india rank , I had rank of 50139. There are no interviews to get in. You need some government documents on the day of admission to get in which will be provided to you on the college's official website after the completion of your counselling.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because it was my dream to become a doctor. Here more focus is shown towards academics. So of course the teaching staff are very knowledgeable as they have also completed MBBS with a postgraduate degree. Exams: There will be 3 internals every year with a final exam of the professional year. The internals will be conducted every three months and the final exam will be at the end. The exams are mediocre in difficulty and of course they are not easy, it's MBBS. The total tuition fee is 66000 rupees for the whole year. Hostel fees: 1000 rs per month Mess fess: 3000 rs per month Books cost depends on your way of studying and you purchase your own choice of books. Don't be confused about why MBBS is so affordable, it's because this is entirely a government college. If you are financially unstable you will be given a scholarship if you apply which can cover your entire cost of education. I know some friends who gain more than 1.5 lakh scholarships every year.
Internships Opportunities :
The internship takes place 4.5 years after college for 1 year. Where you will be posted in and out of the hospital in peripheries too in various departments, here you treat many patients with variety of illnesses. The salary per month in our college is 30000 for an internship. It will be very hectic with a postgraduate exam upcoming after the internship.
Placement Experience :
Doctors, unlike other professions, can run their own placements ( clinics ) or get posted in many hospitals saving numerous patients. The eligibility is that you have to pass all the exams. The package depends on which specialization they choose next. Like for example a neurosurgeon will be earning in crores per annum or a general physician that can earn around a lakh or more in his clinic.
Campus Life :
There are fests to name a few, the months in which they are conducted are not always fixed. Ganesh Chaturthi: A public dance will be organized with Ganapathi visarjana. Freshers party: For the newcomer juniors. Graduation day: For the outgoing interns. kannada rajyotsava in November. Library: Has all the required books and updated journals for MBBS, It contains 2 separate reading rooms. A digital library is also present. The classroom is a lecture hall with a seating capacity of 200 people, AC, projector with audio system. Sports and extracurricular activities are also promoted with football, throwball, basketball, kabaddi, badminton, and many more indoor games too. There are many clubs like art,books,language, and may more. The food in hostel is not good actually but that's the scene in every college. The hostel is present very near to college. The Karwar beach is the important attraction of our college which is within 500 meters to campus.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement

Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
