Jain University Kochi Admission Dates 2026

Jain University Kochi uses a rolling admission process. The BTech JET 2026 exam is over, but students with JEE Main 2026 or COMED-K 2026 scores can still apply directly for BTech. Applications for UG and PG programmes other than engineering are also open.

JET, or Jain Entrance Test, is held online with remote proctoring. For BTech, students with good JEE Main, COMED-K, or KEAM scores may go through SCR, which means Score-based Criteria Review, interview and counselling without taking the written JET.

Jain University Kochi Courses and Fees

Jain University Kochi offers 70+ programmes through six schools. BTech in CSE, AI and ML, and Data Science is the main engineering option. The campus also has a wide set of Design, Media, and Creative Arts courses, including BDes, MDes, and BA and MA specialisations.

Hostel fees for both boys and girls are INR 1,75,000 to INR 2,15,000 per year. This amount includes accommodation and meals. BA regular design and media courses such as Film and Media, Graphic Design, Fashion Design, VFX Animation, UI and UX, and Game Development have total fees of INR 63,280. MA-level design and media courses have total fees of INR 86,800.

Jain University Kochi Admission Process

Admissions at Jain University Kochi differ by course. Engineering uses JET or accepted entrance scores, while many UG and PG programmes consider merit, interviews, portfolios, or national-level management test scores, depending on the course.

Engineering (BTech)

BTech admission is mainly through JET (Jain Entrance Test), an online remotely-proctored test. Students with strong JEE Main, COMED-K, or KEAM scores may be called for SCR, or Score-based Criteria Review, interview and counselling without JET. Applicants need 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics and at least 60% aggregate. The three BTech options are CSE, AI and Machine Learning, and Data Science.

Computer Science (BCA / MCA)

BCA admission is based on Class 12 marks in Mathematics. MCA admission is open to graduates with a relevant bachelor’s degree and Mathematics as a subject. MCA with AI and ML or Cyber Security is the premium specialisation track, with total fees of INR 1,28,800.

Management (BBA / MBA)

BBA admission is based on Class 12 merit and is open to students from all streams. For MBA, the university accepts CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, CMAT, and GMAT scores, along with JET PG. MBA applicants need any graduation degree with at least 50% aggregate. The five MBA specialisations are Business Analytics, Finance and HRM, International Finance, Marketing and Finance, and Marketing and HRM. The total MBA fee is INR 1,70,000 for 2 years.

Design and Media (BDes / BA Design / MA)

BDes in Communication Design and UG BA design courses use Class 12 merit along with a portfolio or aptitude interview. PG design tracks use JET PG. BDes is a 4-year course with total fees of INR 1,00,000. BA Hons in Graphic Design, UI and UX, VFX Animation, Game Development, and Film and Media are 3-year courses with total fees of INR 63,280.

Sciences and Humanities (BSc / BA / MSc / MA)

BSc and BA admissions depend on Class 12 merit and the student’s stream fit. BSc Hons Data Science requires 10+2 with Mathematics or Statistics. MSc and MA applicants need a relevant UG degree and are selected on merit. For Psychology programmes such as BSc, MSc, and BA Hons, students need a PCB or Humanities background at the UG level.

Jain University Kochi Placements

Jain University Kochi has reported a highest package of INR 42 LPA and an average package of INR 6 to 7 LPA in recent placement seasons. The university has recorded more than 5,500 cumulative offers, and 236 companies visit every year. Its location inside InfoPark gives students access to IT, ITES, and fintech companies.

Jain University Kochi Campus and Infrastructure

Jain University Kochi vs RSET Kochi vs Christ University Bangalore

Students comparing private higher education options in South India often look at Jain University Kochi, RSET Kochi, and Christ University Bangalore together. RSET, or Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology, is a KTU-affiliated private engineering college in Kochi. Christ University Bangalore is a private deemed-to-be university known for humanities, commerce, and management. This comparison helps students decide between a deemed-university route and a KTU-affiliated engineering route, or between southern private deemed universities for management and liberal arts.

For BTech applicants in Kerala, RSET uses KEAM-based admission through government counselling, which gives a state counselling seat-allocation route. Jain Kochi uses JET, JEE Main, and COMED-K routes outside Kerala counselling. This matters for students who want the state counselling process or have strong KEAM ranks. Jain Kochi’s BTech fee of INR 3.30 lakh is lower than the BTech fees at both RSET and Christ University. For Design, Media, VFX, and UI/UX, Jain Kochi has a school that does not have a direct match among KTU-affiliated colleges in Kochi. Christ University Bangalore is a common option for students ready to move to a larger city for liberal arts or management from a private deemed university.
