What I Liked

I like everything about the college infrastructure. It's huge and spacious there are library and digital library aswell we can sit read research. Faculties are very good and helping us in each way they can

What I didn’t like

There are less canteens and the college time is bad

Placement Experience:

Salesian College, Siliguri, does not have a strong record of placements, and most students pursue higher education instead of seeking immediate employment. The college does not provide extensive job opportunities on campus, and students are often guided by faculty members to find internships and placements outside the college. However, some reviews indicate that the college has started providing training for better placements and has seen success with around 40% of students securing positions in multinational companies like TCS, PwC, and Wipro. The placement opportunities available are generally limited, but the college offers support for students to pursue further studies or find internships in their specialized fields

Internships Opportunities:

Nope I've not opted for any kind of internship till now I will be siting for internship soon and will make sure I do best at it . I am just in 2 year while I'll be in 3rd year I'll start applying for internships.

My experience and feedbacks .

What I Liked

Faculties are well experienced and colleges have a good campus .
We experienced different kind of situations where we learned to open up and be more confident enough.

What I didn’t like

Dumping ground near our campus it pollutes the whole environment .
College timing we have to be too punctual if we are on minute late we cant attend the whole class.

Internships Opportunities:

We did internship in Rehab centre . We learned a lot about how to deal with patients and to know about them . We did internship in schools where we taught them different kind of mindful activities about our behavior .

Salesian College Siliguri.

What I Liked

What I personally like about Salesian college siliguri autonomous is its awesome infrastructure, the college is quite spacious having a number of grounds.
The faculty is quite understanding and encouraging. The campus life is fun and knowledgeable.

What I didn’t like

There is nothing in Particular that I don’t like about this college.
The only thing which I would complain is that only few classrooms have Air conditioners.

Placement Experience:

The placements and job opportunities provided by Salesian college siliguri autonomous is quite fantastic. The eligibility criteria for placement is upto the students remark. The offers provided to the student is also based on how hardworking the student is.

Internships Opportunities:

I have not opted for any internship at this point as I want to explore my college life more. I will do it soon tho. My seniors have opted for internships and they all had something awful to say and they have always been grateful for salesian college siliguri autonomous.

What I Liked

The College structure is very big and the campus life is pretty good
The faculties of the College are very helpful and supporting

What I didn’t like

Since College is located near a big dumping yard, the awful smell of the dumb surround the atmosphere
Some faculties in the College are not so supportive and does not contribute helping the students that is in need

Placement Experience:

Till now, no job opportunities or placements have been offered to us but in the following years Planning to organise internship and Job opportunities for the students as students are requesting for an internship over a long period of time

Internships Opportunities:

internship opportunities begin from third year or the sixth semester since i am in second year there is currently no internships available to us But the planning to provide us some kind of internship for the second year

Life at Salesian College Siliguri

What I Liked

campus Life as the staffs and everyone around is very friendly
Real Life oriented events and programs because it teaches to tackle problems in real life

What I didn’t like

Timings of the college is not approprite because sometimes the college starts very early and the students are unable to reach in time . and now the class hours are very long as per college level .
The gate of the college closes at a very specific time so even if a student is in a situation that causes delay they miss their classes

Placement Experience:

The college provides placement options for most courses and also gives internship opportunities. As I have not had any opportunity I currently work in an NGO as an accountant and further want to crack the WBPSC exam or back a government job.

Internships Opportunities:

No, I have not opted for any internship but the college provides various internship opportunities for many students. There are internships that the college offers like for social work they give internships in NGOs and they take the students out for fieldwork and experience.

Best college in Siliguri

What I Liked

The college infrastructure was very clean and hygienic
The faculty were great and I can never forget the campus life that this college provided

What I didn’t like

The politics in the colllege at the time of CR elections or post holder elections
Just the politics and nothing else, rest everything was great

Placement Experience:

Earlier there were not many placements and internship opportunities in the college but now the college made sure that the students get placed in MNCs and other unicorn companies in India. Many of my friends got placed in PwC & Wipro this year.

Internships Opportunities:

Yes, I’ve done several internships, the companies where I worked are, Skillbee, Skillish, Skillarena & Primite Marketing. The role was mainly of Lead conversion and representing the college by being the campus ambassador

What I Liked

Infrastructure with classrooms having all facilities
faculties and teaching experience and being AUTONOMOUS

What I didn’t like

GATE TIMING Even if you arrive 1 min late, you will allowed to enter the college
Attendance is very strictly measured, if you have less 75% you will not be able to write exams of that subject

Placement Experience:

placements are not provided directly but placement assistance is there for the help. and internships are provided to many. some recruiters who visited our college are - Aditya Birla, Cosmos, Neotia Getwel, Yamaha, Make My Trip and many more. The percentage of getting placements is like 50.

Internships Opportunities:

No, not now internships are available in 3 years or some special internships that come within a year for several specific departments, and, internship assistance is provided by the faculties or college to gain cooperate experience.

Salesian college review

What I Liked

The college has a football field , 2 basketball courts , 2 volleyball courts , a tt table . The infrastructure is well maintained. The classes are near and tidy and gets cleaned up everyday . The college is clean .

What I didn’t like

The college gate is closed everyday at 8:50 sharp and any student or teacher cannot enter gate even if we are 1 minute late . And we cannot leave the campus before 2:30 exact . These rules stress students a lot as we have no freedom.

Placement Experience:

There are no internships and job placements offered by Salesian college Siliguri. If we need an internship we have to go personally and find an internship. No company or recruiters visit and offer jobs.

Internships Opportunities:

Our course doesn't get internships or placements. However, we do have a desertation or a survey we may wish to opt for in the final year of college. There was to be a PPT on a survey on primary or secondary data.

Everything you need to know about Salesian College Siliguri before you join

What I Liked

Some of the class are provided with AC as siliguri is a very hot place. College hosts many big events and students enjoy alot.
Other Department students are also really friendly and students have great friendship with each other.

What I didn’t like

College gate strictly closes at 8:50 so if you are late you have to miss 3 classes you are only allowed to enter in the lunch break.
You have to pay for everything, even when you go for sports competitions you have to pay transportation fee by yourself. Even in excursion you have to pay for everything. For the ones who are graduating they have to pay money for their robes, certificate and even food and venue isn't that unnecessary?

Placement Experience:

As for now I'm 4th semester we are not provided with any kind of placements but if you are interested you can take help of faculty and apply for internship. The course has many job opportunities like teaching, content writing, book reviewer, translator etc

What I Liked

The infrastructure of the college is good every classroom have smart board for presentation
Faculty is not to much strict compared to other faculty

The rules and regulations of the college in like school they treat us like school kids
The campus life is very boring you can get bored to early

There in placement opportunities in this college right now if you seeking placement this college is not for you you have to do an MBA from a good institution to get placement that is how only you can get a job.

Internships Opportunities:

The third college will be giving internships to everyone depending on the field you have chosen like human resources, marketing, finance, etc. You can also do the library internship in the college only for the tenure of one month it keeps on changing.
