- Timings of the college is not approprite because sometimes the college starts very early and the students are unable to reach in time . and now the class hours are very long as per college level .
- The gate of the college closes at a very specific time so even if a student is in a situation that causes delay they miss their classes
Remarks :
The college is the best convent college in the city. This is best for discipline and special attention is given to every student. The admission process is quiet simple. You can visit the college and book your seat by giving the needed documents. The admission can also be done online by visiting the portal. After all these, the list of students that are selected is called for an interview round and then after a few days, the selected candidates are called for an orientation. There are no such cut-offs for admission. My interview was taken online and I was asked basic questions about my past education and my reason for choosing this college and stream.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculties are very good and they give special attention to every student. Regular notes and study materials are given and teachers are very helpful in case of any doubts. Extra classes and remedial classes are also taken for students who need them. As the college comes under the North Bengal University the papers are set directly from there and mainly the questions are asked as per the syllabus and the level is intermediate.
Internships Opportunities :
No, I have not opted for any internship but the college provides various internship opportunities for many students. There are internships that the college offers like for social work they give internships in NGOs and they take the students out for fieldwork and experience.
Placement Experience :
The college provides placement options for most courses and also gives internship opportunities. As I have not had any opportunity I currently work in an NGO as an accountant and further want to crack the WBPSC exam or back a government job.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
In the first year, the college charges an amount of rupees 63600, in the second year an amount of rupees -58700, and in the third year an amount of rupees 55200 which includes, admission fees, university fees, course fees, college magazine, handbook, etc . co-curricular, establishment, course fees, test and labs, library, repair and maintenance, sports and social charity and alumni expenses. The fees for everyone were the same no matter the cast or categories. Many different government scholarships were available only for the SC and ST.
Campus Life :
Campus life is very vibrant. We get to experience new things and be part of different clubs and events. The events are very student-involved and some events are subject-oriented oriented involve situations from real life.
Hostel Facilities :
I have not stayed in the hostel of the college but according to my friends the hostel facilities are good and the food is also good. The locality of the hostel is not that great as it is nearer to the dumpyard of Siliguri.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
