Remarks :
Indian Institute of Technology are the top leading engineering institutes of the nation selecting students based on the one of the worlds hardest exam JEE Advanced of which only top one percentage being selected. Admission process will be completely taking place through JOSAA. One have to qualify both JEE mains and Advanced to apply for the courses provided
Course Curriculum Overview :
Student and faculty ratio is near 5 which makes academics easier but the competition between the students may be high. Course curriculum will be easy or hard depending of the respective department its very decent in my case as I'm a mechanical engineering student. Academics include Courses, Lab courses and Extra curriculum activities. Faculties are top tier and well experienced. There will be mid semester and end semester examination having weightage of 30 and 30 percentage of total
Internships Opportunities :
Intership opportunities are there but it will be very hard to get through campus career development program and many of the students apply for off campus. Many top tier recruiters like Optiver, Google, Nvidia and other big comapnies gives intership opportunities with a stipend ranging from 1 Lakh to 30+ Lakhs a month. You have to be prepared for this.
Placement Experience :
One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Semester fee is divided into respective hostel fee, HMC fee and Tuition fee. Hostel and HMC combined would be around 50000INR per semester and Tuition will be around 1 Lakh INR per semester. Scholarship will be availed on the basis on annual family income or respective reservation if any. Other educational scholarships can be availed on the basis of respective criteria
Campus Life :
Life in campus is very descent. Very good night life compared to other colleges. Plenty of clubs and societies which are either under the institution or made by a group of students are here students can join of their interest. Library is very good and just got centralized AC. PC's are available in the library through which students can access digital library. Sports fest called Shourya happens every odd semester and Tech fest kahitij and cultural fest Spring fest happens in every even semesters. Sports are being given a huge importance by the institution and a team from every sports will be sent to participate in inter IIT competitons
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel food are not really that great. Many complaints have been registered against hostel mess recently. Food will be repetetive and boring but nutrition wise it will be fine. Mess registration is a simple process and it depends on the respective hostel. Rooms are just fine. Local stays are not allowed and strictly punished if the respective finds out

Placement Experience :
Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Students should not have any backlog at the 6 th semester. Placement and internship opportunities are gradually decreasing. Currently our college is approved by NBA it may help in our placement. TCS is the main recruiter, Accenture, Infosys, Evosys, ThoughtWorks etc. also come to our campus.

Placement Experience :
There placement opportunities here are best amongst all Indian Marine engineering colleges. All good companies like SCI, Chevron , nyk , delos, British petroleum, mediterranean shipping company,etc visit and good offers are given. In Marine industry salaries for same kind of ships are almost same and difference lies for type of contract offered.

I chose this rank because of my jee rank. The faculty are much educated and experienced and highly qualified Exams are conducted two times in a semester. Internal tests are conducted in between the semesters

Placement Experience :
Placements are obviously very very good here and u will get lots of opportunities here to be placed , here there is no chance that u will not get placed because placement rate is around 100 percent some of students don't register themselves for placement and rather they go for some startups and IIMs and IAS .
Brief review of NIT DURGAPUR

you have to maintain 6.5 cg to sit in the placements and it may differ according to companies . as i am in 2nd year so i have little less idea of placements well for meta 90% students get placed last year with a median package of 9 lakhs .

The college provides good placement opportunities and has around 95%+ placement record. Students from 3rd year are eligible to go for placement. Companies like Bosh, tcs, mahindra tech, wipro ,infosys. ultratech, are some of the companies to hire. Besides this the college also has masters course like MBA, M tech .
