This is a course which prepares cadets to be officers at the sea, so this course prepares a person for sea life mentally and even physically. You are put under a proper training that focuses on your personality development. Faculties are good and the teaching method is theoretical and practical, college has a proper training workshop to prepare cadets to be a good marine engineers. Exams are quite easy and could be cleared easily if focused class. Can be cleared by studying a month or 2 weeks prior the semesters

The faculties are well qualified in their respective fields, most of them are scholars of their subjects and all of them have at least a doctorate in their subject. The curriculum of starting semesters is same as all other courses of engineering but in later semesters it gets purely marine based.

Course curriculum is good ,it's a routined life ,faculties are approachable ,in the first semester you have 6 subjects and 4 practicals,just study hard one month before exam and you can easily be all clear

Basically not too much just i want to work on engine side and love machinery so i choose this.. Faculties are well qualified and actually they all have actual sea or onboard experience because they are all work on merchant navy in his time so they taught us alot about that and i think that well help us alot to survive in real life at sea Exams are precisely on time because university have very strict rules in this and from my pov difficulty level hard as may you think just because of number of subjects you have to read is more as compare to normal engineering colleges

The faculties of this college are generally from Marine background.Other facilties for core subjects are Phd holders from NIT, IITs abd Jadavpur University. So coming on to faculties, no doubt they are excellent. The course is mostly a combination of Mechanical Engineering (about 65%),Electrical Engineering (about 8%),programming and coding (about 4%),Civil Engineering (Especially the construction purpose which is about 2%),Rest of the course related to shipping, macheneries in ship, MARPOL,SOLAS rules and regulations (about 21%) Two internal tests of 20 marks are conducted before every semester exams.Semester exams are normally the end sem exams which is conducted in the month of December and another the mid sem exams which is conducted in the month of May.

faculties teaching in my college are well qualified . for the practical knowledge of onboard qualified marine engineers are also appointed to share their experience and knowledge. we have to give end semester exam after every semester and the level of the exam is moderate to high.

Faculties are well qualified and almost everyone have done PhD, and some faculties are also passout of this college only. Yearly 2 times examination occurs along with practicals and the difficulty level is moderate.
