Got into this college through an entrance exam called IMUCET (held every year), cut off for Kolkata goes high for general category you must be under 1000 AIR, for OBC 3000-4000 AIR. The college's placement ratio and the exposure it provides to the students makes it suitable for marine engineering

Written test which you need to give is IMU CET, for INDIAN MARITIME UNIVERSITY KOLKATA, you need to have a good rank in the exam. But the placement record is really good of this college due to its legacy of esteemed alumnis.

Placement is good ,yes written exam is imucet ,the reality is little harsh though the life is very routined ,seniors are very helpful but you need to mainten a boundary,sports culture is at its peak here ,extra curricular activities scope is also very good

One has to clear and secure a good rank prob under 1k in IMUCET exam for admissions.. exam level is not very hard and it takes only board level preparations for it .... one have to be clear on the basics for imucet exam .

Moreover the Alumni network of our college is so strong that it helps to boost up the placement scenarios of our college. Admission process is through an entrance exam "IMU-CET" which is generally conducted every year in the month of June. Securing a good rank is a must for getting selected to IMU Kolkata. Minimum requirements like 60% in PCM both in class 10 and class 12 is also there.

the admission process of my college 'IMU KOLKATA' is that you should have atleast 60% with PCM in 12th and also you have to clear IMUCET exam and secure a good rank in the exam to get admission in this college , the cutoff rank varies according to the category, the general category is under AIR 1500.

The factors because of which I choose this college are: This college has the best placement ratio as compared to other colleges, and this profession is different from others. I was selected through IMU CET examination. My rank was 171. So I had the privilege to choose any college and any course under IMU administration. I had already decided that I wanted to do merchant Navy and the course fee was much less than Tolani which is a private college.
