Honest review about MSIT
Likes
- Some faculty members are goodhearted and helpful. They help students in their placement by using their connections.
- Cultural fest, tech fest, freshers party are mesmerizing.
Dislikes
- Campus is too small for us. No playground is available here.
- It is situtaed in a remote location. Roads were not good in front of the college. Recently they are repaired.
Remarks :
I have admitted in this college through counselling process conducted by government of West Bengal. I searched in the college website and found a decent placement record and cut-off that matched with my rank. Our college also take admission as lateral entry. Cut-off and fees structure vary every year so check college website.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I heard that computer science is nowadays a booming field to get jobs. Here different types of courses like civil, electrical, mechanical, electronics and types of computer science, BBA, BCA are present. College exams are not so hard. College give scholarship to the students. I have a mixed experience about the faculty members.
Internships Opportunities :
No i have not opted for any internship. Students normally get internship opportunities in their third year. Different types of roles are given to them. ThoughWorks Technologies, Evosys, Infosys, Planetspark, TCS, Accenture etc. come for internships.
Placement Experience :
Students should not have any backlog at the 6 th semester. Placement and internship opportunities are gradually decreasing. Currently our college is approved by NBA it may help in our placement. TCS is the main recruiter, Accenture, Infosys, Evosys, ThoughtWorks etc. also come to our campus.
Campus Life :
There are so many cultural fest and programmes arranged by the cultural clubs of MSIT. Plenty of books are present in the library and the librarians are student-friendly. One big problem is no playground is available and campus is too small. There are many clubs (cultural clubs, coding clubs, sports club)run by the students. Hostel facility is not present, students have to rent room or PG.

There placement opportunities here are best amongst all Indian Marine engineering colleges. All good companies like SCI, Chevron , nyk , delos, British petroleum, mediterranean shipping company,etc visit and good offers are given. In Marine industry salaries for same kind of ships are almost same and difference lies for type of contract offered.

I choose this course because I feel this course gives best opportunity in both IT sector as well as in Core field.There is no any scholarships regarding your college results.But this college consists of good faculty which help help in preparing for GATE examination.

Various Companies are visited in our college through campus drive process. Campus placement is good but not so much better than other colleges of our university. I hope our campus placement is better in Future.
Life at IIT Kharagpur
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this rank because of my jee rank. The faculty are much educated and experienced and highly qualified Exams are conducted two times in a semester. Internal tests are conducted in between the semesters

This college is located in sector V so this is the IT hub in Kolkata all IT companies are came for hiring students as a permanent mamber and intership so we can't take any headache for this so I can refer this college is best

Placements are obviously very very good here and u will get lots of opportunities here to be placed , here there is no chance that u will not get placed because placement rate is around 100 percent some of students don't register themselves for placement and rather they go for some startups and IIMs and IAS .
Brief review of NIT DURGAPUR
Placement Experience :
you have to maintain 6.5 cg to sit in the placements and it may differ according to companies . as i am in 2nd year so i have little less idea of placements well for meta 90% students get placed last year with a median package of 9 lakhs .

The college provides good placement opportunities and has around 95%+ placement record. Students from 3rd year are eligible to go for placement. Companies like Bosh, tcs, mahindra tech, wipro ,infosys. ultratech, are some of the companies to hire. Besides this the college also has masters course like MBA, M tech .
