- Campus is very beautiful and you are going to get the best campus life.
- Infrastructure of the college is also very good and well accomodated
Dislikes
- Faculties are good but sometimes they speak bengali which is difficult to understand.
- Some of the hostels are far from college and the mess food are also not very good
Remarks :
I gave Jee mains and wbjee exams for admission in this college these are the only two exams through which you can take admissions in this college. Management quota is also available in this college but prefer not to use it. You can check the cutoffs for this college on wbjee exams portal. The normal cutoff for cse in wbjee is 500 to 4000 rank in wbjee exams and till 20000 rank you can get admission in electronics and communication engineering in this college. You can prepare for wbjee and jee mains through any of the educational platforms as it is your regular 11th 12th syllabus.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am doing btech from ece department because I have a particular interest in electronics and also computer languages and this course provides you opportunity for both. Faculties of my department and also other departments are well qualified and they teach very smoothly according to students. Terms exams are well on time and the difficulty level was also very medium, they will only ask you questions from the class notes so need not to worry. The fee hikes for almost 50k every year. You can take loans from your state government if it's is available.
Internships Opportunities :
No I have not applied for any internship bcz I am in the second semester. I have applied for one or two internships and hope will get it soon. You have to manage internships on your own the college will not play any role in that
Placement Experience :
Placements and job opportunities are also very good in this college. You are eligible for placements after the 6th sem and there are no any other criteria. Some of the companies that visits here are tcs, infosys, cognizant, flipkart etc. The average package of this college is 5 to 6 lpa and the highest package is 27 lpa. Almost 89 percent student get placed every year.
Campus Life :
Life at campus is the best at HIT among all the private institutions in West Bengal . This college has very large campus and very flourished one. There are two fests which are riviera and prayukti which are conducted in March or April every year. There are various clubs and library facility is also very good. There are many hostels also in this college and the facilities are ok ok in every hostel. The food is good but never compare it to home

Placement Experience :
Students should not have any backlog at the 6 th semester. Placement and internship opportunities are gradually decreasing. Currently our college is approved by NBA it may help in our placement. TCS is the main recruiter, Accenture, Infosys, Evosys, ThoughtWorks etc. also come to our campus.
DMET :- dream of all Marine engineering aspirants.
Placement Experience :
There placement opportunities here are best amongst all Indian Marine engineering colleges. All good companies like SCI, Chevron , nyk , delos, British petroleum, mediterranean shipping company,etc visit and good offers are given. In Marine industry salaries for same kind of ships are almost same and difference lies for type of contract offered.

Placements rate is very down fromw previous years.... Criteria for placement is to have no active backlog No offensive background 65 percentage of getting placement My plans are if I get a placement then ok but if I don't I will be doing masters

Placements are obviously very very good here and u will get lots of opportunities here to be placed , here there is no chance that u will not get placed because placement rate is around 100 percent some of students don't register themselves for placement and rather they go for some startups and IIMs and IAS .

you have to maintain 6.5 cg to sit in the placements and it may differ according to companies . as i am in 2nd year so i have little less idea of placements well for meta 90% students get placed last year with a median package of 9 lakhs .

The college provides good placement opportunities and has around 95%+ placement record. Students from 3rd year are eligible to go for placement. Companies like Bosh, tcs, mahindra tech, wipro ,infosys. ultratech, are some of the companies to hire. Besides this the college also has masters course like MBA, M tech .
