- College campus is very green and peaceful also it is very big so their are lots of places to hangout. Roads and footpaths are also very clean and well maintained. Faculty is very supportive. Campus Life is full of activities.
Dislikes
- Academic pressure is very much. Faculty can some times be very rude on small things.
Remarks :
the 75% in board exams were must, also descent marks in jee advanced is also enough to get a course in IIT Kharagpur. I was very much impressed by the culture of this IIT by watching it's documentry on Netflix(Alma Matters).
Course Curriculum Overview :
If you are really in mechanical engineering then go for it hence the course is very good in respect of that. It has also altered my way of looking things around me like how this and that engine/mechanism works which is really fascinating. The faculty is also very good and brilliant but some professors are not rude but the are very sweet from inside.
Internships Opportunities :
FANG companies only come for SDE internship opportunity but many companies also comes for role like consultant, finance, data science. The maximum stipend I have seen is like over 3.5 lakhs per month in quant role hence the average stipend is around 1 lakh per month.
Placement Experience :
Maintain your cgpa above 8 and you can aim for any job profile and get placement in it. Minimum 6cgpa is required to sit for placement. Top companies like Amazon, google, apple and many more come for recruitment. In 2024 the highest domeypackage was around 2.5cr per annual and minimum was around 6 lpa. Arround more than 90 percent of the students who sit for placement gets placed. If not on campus you can also go for office campus but you have to work hard in off campus because competition will be more their. I am aming for office campus placement offers.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fir SC/ST students, the whole tution fees is waived off and only the hostel and academic fees is imposed. The hostel fees is arround 30k which includes mees fees and all the basic amenities which are provided in the hostel. Academic fees includes lab fees, library fees, exam feem, etc which is also all over around 25k
Campus Life :
Their are hell lot of clubs in campus, as many as you think of like dance, dramatics, cooking, comedy, etc. Also their are many student communities of different states so that students of that state won't feel alone they also organise events so that other people can also know about their culture. Also hostel culture is also very good hence you will never be left out. The infrastructure is good my need more improvements hence some hostels were made in 1960's and they need some repair work else in overall it is good
Hostel Facilities :
In first year all the boys will be given and single hostel and all the girls will be in other girls hostels. After 1st year boys are allotted different hostels but they can change their hostel by request to HMC (Hall Management Council).

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
