- The best thing i like about my college is the campus. We have a very pretty and greenery campus. The classrooms are also air conditioned and infrastructure is well maintained.
Dislikes
- Canteen. Our canteen lacks basic infrastructure and healthy food.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Internships Opportunities :
We do not get any internship from college. You have to apply directly. However, recently a few companies have started visiting our college providing Internships to needy students. The typical roles are HR, marketing and some other role related to finance. Some of the companies are goodwyn tea, TCS. You need to clear the interview round to get selected.
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
As per my batch, the semester fee was ?25000 per semester. Therefore, yearly fees was around ?50000 for my course (bcom hons). Lab fees, tuition fees and all other kind of fees was included in this. There is no separate fees for that. You have to pay exam fee every semester around ?355 as our college is affiliated to Calcutta University. My other batch mates have fees ranging from 25000-29000 for bcom general and BBA. There are a few scholarships available for eligible students. Some of them are kanyashree scholarship, Oasis scholarship, etc. For reserved category students, fees might be slightly lower than general category students.
Campus Life :
Our campus life was very decent. We had a lot of clubs and societies during our time. Some were related to finance and some to marketing. One of the most popular club in our college was E-Cell club. We also had a few sports activity going on in our campus. Intra college fests are held regularly so students who are interested can participate and practice. We also have a very famous fest which is held yearly known as Srijan. It is held somewhere around in March every year. We have a basketball court as well as a swimming pool for all the sports enthusiasts. We have a library as well and all kinds of books from fiction to non fiction, from study materials to computer is available.

Placement Experience :
Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

BCREC A ENGINEERING COLLEGE
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
