Review on IIT Kharagpur
Remarks :
I had a decent AIR in JEE ADVANCED 2024. I consulted a lot of seniors already studying in many IITs and teachers as well. We had councelling sessions in the institute I studied from for JEE. One of the key factors that made me settle with IIT Kharagpur was the instrumentation engineering course that was only available in IIT Kharagpur among all the renounced IITs. From all the research I did one must carefully maintain balance between the college opted and the branch you pick, simply going for CSE with a college way lower than what you could have got or simply choosing the highest possible college with a branch way lower than what could have been a better option is not at all an ideal way of picking colleges. One of the bad points that one must look into before selecting IIT Kharagpur is the location. Kharagpur in itself is a very small town with minimal facilities. The life outside the campus is almost as good as nothing. Other IITs like Bombay or Delhi are way better in this aspect.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculty here is top notch. The teachers, faculty advisors, TAs are all very supportive. Academics is indeed pretty difficult. You need to manage your other activities hobbies etc. with regular studying. You can't score high if you are a last minute cramming person. You need to start preparing for your exam atleast a week before the commencement of the exams if you want to score high. Maintaining a good cgpa above 8 is not very difficult since grades are alloted on a relative basis.
Placement Experience :
Students must have a cgpa of more than atleast 6-7 on a 10 point scale though it may vary for every department or company. Students must have completed their academics without any F grade anywhere. In 2023 about 90% students were placed in my branch with an average of 25- 30 LPA while the highest being 70-80 LPA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For general/OBC category students yearly tution fees is 2,00,000 while for SC/ST/PWD students it is zero ( completely exempt ). Other academic fees for all category students is 3500 per semester which is 7000 per annum while hostel and mess fees are 18000 and 50000-60000 per annum respectively. Other miscellaneous fees rounds upto 10500 per annum. There are various scholarship schemes and financial aid options available for economically weaker sections, top performers, and students with special needs.
Campus Life :
Campus life is good if you have good friends to spend time with. There are a lot of things you can do within the campus. If you are interested in sports you can pursue any sport here. There are plenty of clubs and societies here catering various activities like acting, debate, comedy, computer related stuff ( coding , graphics, animation etc.) and many more.
Hostel Facilities :
Most students here are from outside so most of them live in hostels. There aren't many day scholars. IIT Kharagpur being the biggest IIT with most courses accounts for the most number of admission every year. Therefore for their accomodation there are 13 boys and 3 girls hostels here. The rooms are spacious. Cleanliness is more or less maintained. You can either do your laundry on your own or get it done by ' dhobis' , they come weekly and charge monthly. There are canteens, night canteens and general grocery stores (stationary and day to day requirement stuff). The mess is acceptable. The food isn't very good ( for some people it is almost unbearable while for some it is good enough).

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
